Story

Spider-Man-2-Story

The story was exceptionally well-written. It is a continuation of Insomniac Games' previous game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The story's theme revolves around "Be Great Together" as you step into the shoes of Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Join them and learn their struggles not only for human problems, but also as Spider-men. Meet Kraven the Hunter, the leader of a private militia as the new villain. If he's not enough for you, the alien symbiote, Venom, bonds with Peter and causes all kinds of trouble for him. Come and join the heroes and experience their story!

Gameplay and Graphics

Spider-Man-2-Graphics

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an action-adventure single-player game. The gameplay is very similar to its predecessor, but it still offers fun gameplay and of course, the ability to use a very well-known alien symbiote, Venom. Parry attacks, glide with the Web Wings, and pull enemies with the Web Grabber!

The perfect gameplay comes with great graphics. When it comes to detail, Spider-Man 2 definitely offers an upgrade. There might be a slight problem in the cutscenes when characters do not show as smoothly as it was in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. However, everything else is flawless.

Music

Spider-Man-2-Music

John Paesana perfectly captures the Spider-Man franchise. The music fits so well. The D.I.C.E. Awards, equivalent to the Academy Awards in the video game Industry, agrees as the music won the Original Music Composition category.

Comfort and Replayability

Spider-Man-2-Comfort

The game is not a competitive one. It offers comfort that casual gamers will enjoy. However, the game lacks replayability. The developers, however, provided plenty of upgrades and new cosmetics on its New Game+ which was released on March 7, 2024. You can also now play the game at harder difficulty.

Is it worth it?

If you enjoy the Spider-man series, an open-world exploration, amazing story and music, swinging from building to building, this game is for you and will definitely be worth it.
