What are Arcanas?

Arcanas are a gameplay mechanic in Vampire Survivors, which allows players to add certain effects and modifiers to their playthroughs.

It is unlocked after collecting the Randomazzo, which then grants the arcana, Sarabande of Healing.

How to Use Arcanas?

At the start of stage selection, players can either choose to use Arcanas, and up to 3 can be activated in a single playthrough.

You can choose one during these phases of the game:
1 Beginning a round (All Arcanas)
2 11:00 Chest reward (4 Random)
3 21:00 Chest reward (4 Random)

The Arcanas received from chests are rewards from certain bosses. Players can also reroll the 2nd and 3rd Arcanas using the Reroll Powerup.

List of Arcanas

Currently, there are 22 Arcanas in the game, each with their own unique effect and unlock condition.

O. Game Killer
• Halts XP gain
• Experience Gems turn into exploding projectiles
• All Treasure Chests contain at least 3 items.
Defeat the final boss in Cappella Magna.
Gemini I. Gemini • Listed weapons come with a counterpart. Reach Level 50 with Pugnala
Twilight-Requiem
II. Twilight Requiem
• Listed weapon projectiles generate explosions when they expire
• Explosions damage is affected by Curse.
Reach Level 50 with Dommario
Tragic-Princess
III. Tragic Princess
• The cooldown of the listed weapons reduces when moving. Reach Level 50 with Porta
Awake
IV. Awake
• Gives +3 Revivals
• Consuming a Revival gives +10% Max Health, +1 Armor, and +5% Might, Area, Duration, and Speed.

Chaos-in-the-Dark-Night
V. Chaos in the Dark Night
Overall projectile Speed continuously changes between -50% and +50% over 10 seconds
• Start gaining **+1% projectile Speed **every level.

Sarabande-of-Healing
VI.Sarabande of Healing
• Healing is doubled.
• Recovering HP damages nearby enemies for the same amount

Iron-Blue-Will VII. Iron Blue Will • Listed weapon projectiles gain up to 3 bounces and might pass through enemies and walls. Reach Level 50 with Gennaro
Mad-Groove
VIII. Mad Groove
• Every 2 minutes attracts all standard stage items, pickups, and light sources towards the character. Reach minute 31 in the Mad Forest or defeat the Reaper.
Divine-Bloodline
IX. Divine Bloodline
• Armor also affects listed weapons' damage and reflects enemy damage.
• Gain bonus damage depending on missing Health.
• Defeating enemies with reflected damage gives +0.5 Max Health.
Reach Level 50 with Clerici.
Beginning
X. Beginning
• Listed weapons get +1 Amount.
• Main weapon and its evolution gain +3 Amount instead.
Reach Level 50 with Antonio.
Waltz-of-Pearls
XI. Waltz of Pearls
• Listed weapon projectiles gain up to 3 bounces. Reach Level 50 with Imelda.
Out-of-Bounds
XII. Out of Bounds
• Freezing Enemies create explosions.
Orologions are easier to find.
Reach minute 31 in the Gallo Tower or defeat the Reaper.
Wicked-Season
XIII. Wicked Season
• Overall Growth, Luck, Greed, and Curse are doubled at fixed intervals.
• Gain +1% Growth, Luck, Greed, and Curse every 2 levels.
Reach Level 50 with Christine.
Jail-of-Crystal
XIV. Jail of Crystal
• Listed weapons have a chance to freeze enemies. Reach Level 50 with Pasqualina.
Disco-of-Gold
XV. Disco of Gold
• Picking up coin bags activateGold Fever.
• Picking up gold restores HP.
Reach minute 31 in the Inlaid Library or defeat the Reaper.
Slash
XVI. Slash
• Enables critical hits for listed weapons.
Doubles critical damage.
Reach Level 50 with Lama.
Lost-&-Found-Painting
XVII. Lost & Found Painting
Overall Duration continuously changes between -50% and +50% over 10 seconds.
• Start gaining +1% Duration every level.
Reach Level 50 with Poppea.
Boogaloo-of-Illusions
XVIII. Boogaloo of Illusions
Overall Area continuously changes between -25% and +25% over 10 seconds.
• Start gaining +1% Area every level.
• Reach Level 50 with Concetta.
Heart-of-Fire
XIX. Heart of Fire
• Listed weapon projectiles explode on impact.
• Light sources explode.
• Character explodes when damaged.
Reach Level 50 with Arca.
Silent-Old-Sanctuary
XX. Silent Old Sanctuary
• Gives +3 Reroll, Skip, and Banish.
• Gives +20% Might and -8% Cooldown for each active weapon slot left empty.
Reach minute 31 in the Dairy Plant or defeat the Reaper.
Blood-Astronomia
XXI. Blood Astronomia
• Listed weapons also emit special damaging zones affected by Amount and Magnet.
• Enemies within Magnet range take damage based on Amount.
