How to Upgrade Weapons

Enter the Spiritual World
To upgrade weapons, you need to go to the Spiritual World. The Spiritual World is different for Saga and Alan Wake. Saga Anderson's Spiritual World is the Mind Place, whereas Alan Wake's Spiritual World is the Writer's Room. Once you have opened the Spiritual World, open the menu anywhere and use R2 or L2 to navigate to the menu with the weapon books.
Choose the Book of the Weapon You Want to Upgrade
After opening the menu with the weapon books, choose the book of the weapon you want to upgrade. Since upgrading requires a significant cost, it is recommended to start with weapons you like or weapons with a high ammunition count.

Select the Upgrade You Want to Apply
Once you have chosen the weapon book, select the upgrade you want to apply. To perform the upgrade, you will need manuscript pages that can be obtained from lunchboxes.
How to Collect Manuscript Pages
Open the Lunchbox
Collect Manuscript Pages by opening the lunchboxes located in various places. Since upgrading weapons requires more than 10 Manuscript Pages, it is recommended to actively collect them.
