Cauldron Lake

The last puzzle appears after clearing all 16 Nursery Rhymes

The fifth and last Nursery Rhyme in Cauldron Lake appears after clearing all 16. Upon clearing the 16th one, a trunk containing the Father doll will appear. Make sure to collect the doll before heading to the fifth Rhyme's location.

Solution for Cauldron Lake Nursery Rhyme

West of the Private Cabin

To clear the Nursery Rhyme Puzzle in Streamside Picnic Area, place the Crow doll on the marker with the Sun symbol in the top left corner. The Crow doll can be found on a table near the Puzzle. After clearing the puzzle, collect the Hammer Charm that appears in place of the doll.

Witchfinder's Station

To clear the Witchfinder Station puzzle, place the Hero doll on the boat in the bottom left and the Wolf doll on the tree in the bottom right. The dolls needed for the puzzle can be obtained on the second floor of the building. Remember to return for the dolls afterwards. Pick up the Coffe Mug Charm that appears on the second floor of the building.

Private Cabin

To solve the nursery rhyme puzzle in the Private Cabin, place the dolls in the following order clockwise starting from the top left: Crow, Hero, Wolf. The dolls needed for the puzzle can be obtained from other Nursery Rhyme puzzles in Cauldron Lake. The Kalevala Knights Charm will appear near the pond located in the top left on the map of the cabin.

Rental Cabin

Remember to bring the Boltcutter to access the area. The code is as follows: Gem>Hero, Eye>Crow, and Chick>Monster. The doll of the crow is located at Streamside - Picnic Area, the doll of the Hero is at Witchfinder Station, and the doll of the monster is at Waterly's Ranger Cabin.

Charm is Located Inside the House Across the Street

The charm is placed next to the TV in the house across the street. It is located in a different building from where the Nursery Rhyme is, so make sure you don't miss it.

Witchfinder's Station

Appears When All Nursery Rhyme Puzzles Are Cleared

You can clear the Witchfinder Nursery Rhymes after clearing all other puzzles. There are multiple puzzles located inside the building. By matching each doll to its corresponding puzzle, you can clear them. It is not necessary to place dolls on all the puzzles.

Witchfinder Station's Nursery Rhymes are scattered all over the building. Place the dolls in each room accordingly. Since you can clear the puzzles by placing dolls in the 5 locations, you can ignore any Nursery Rhymes that are not listed in the table.

Head to the Transceiver on the First Floor After Placing the Dolls

Move to the first floor transceiver after placing the doll. Examine the transceiver with the X button to see a distortion that's like an echo. Shine a light on it and burn it off; a box will appear in front of the transceiver. Take the box to increase the number of your Charms equip slots by +1.

Solution for Watery Nursery Rhyme

North of Downtown

The Water Woods Nursery Rhyme north of Downtown is solved by placing a Moose Doll on the marked Tree at the bottom right. There are Moose and Deer dolls scattered around, so make sure to collect them.

The Coffee Mug Charm reward can be found at the feet of a large Deer doll by heading north without descending the steps.

Radio Tower

Clear the Radio Tower Nursery Rhyme by placing a Deer Doll on the House icon in the lower left. The Doll is located near the Nursery Rhyme area in Watery Woods - North of Downtown.

The Deer Charm and the Deer Carcass

Be sure to inspect the deer carcass, since it is where the Deer Charm appears after you've solved the puzzle. It is dropped in a somewhat distant location without any hints, so locate and collect it using the map and the radio tower as landmarks.

Lighthouse Trailer Park

The Lighthouse Trailer Park Rhyme is solved by placing the Wise Elder doll on the Eye and the Deer doll on the Heart. The Deer doll can be found near the rhyme of Watery Woods - North of Downtown, and the Wise Elder doll is located on a nearby pedestal to the location of the rhyme.

Wharf

The Wharf Nursery Rhyme is solved by placing the Wise Elder Doll on the Wave and the Bear on the Candy. The Wise Elder doll can be found at Lighthouse Trailer Park, while the Bear doll is located near the sink at the Wharf. Make sure to collect them beforehand.

The Charm is Located at the Bear Doll's Location

The Coffee World Token charm, a reward for clearing the Wharf Nursery Rhyme, will appear where the Bear doll was placed. Don't forget to collect it as you return.

Lighthouse

Clear the Lighthouse puzzle by placing the Trickster doll on the Wave and the Wise Elder doll on the Candy. The Wise Elder doll can be found at Lighthouse Trailer Park and the Trickster doll is placed at the entrance of the Lighthouse.

Lighthouse Charm is Located Far Away

The Lighthouse Charm is located far away from the lighthouse, on a crashed speedboat. It is placed on top of a rock in that specific location, so refer to the map to find it.

Latte Lagoon

Clear the Nursery Rhyme in Coffee World - Latte Lagoon by placing the Moose doll on the Wave, the Trickster doll on the Rock, and the Deer doll on the Ship. The dolls of Moose and Deer can be found in the Watery Woods north of Downtown, and the doll of Trickster is located near the Lighthouse.

The Washed-Up Boat Holds the Charm

The charm can be collected from the Washed-Up Boat after clearing the Nursery Rhyme. It is advisable to wait until the boat washes up so you can quickly access it.

Ranger Cabin

The Ranger Cabin Nursery Rhyme can be cleared by placing the Bear doll on the Heart and the Maiden doll on the Tree. The Maiden doll is inside Ranger Cabin, while the Bear doll is placed at the Lighthouse.

The Charm is on the Bed in the Cabin

The charm is found on the bed in the Cabin. Make sure to pass by the Cabin to collect the charm before proceeding.

Downtown Watery

Retrieve the Screwdriver from the Percolator at Coffee World First.

Once you've done that, clear the Nursery Rhyme of Downtown Watery by placing the Maiden doll on the House and a Monster doll on the Gem. The Maiden doll and Monster doll are inside the Ranger Cabin.

The Charm is Found Inside the Cabin's Mailbox

The second Coffee Mug Charm is inside the Mailbox outside the cabin. After clearing the Nursery Rhyme, black marks will also appear on the floor. Follow them to get the Charm.

Solution for Bright Falls Nursery Rhyme

Bunker Woods

Clear the Bunker Woods nursery rhyme by placing the Child doll on the Tree icon and the Mother doll on the House. You can obtain the dolls of the Mother and Child at the Trailer Park in Waterly.

Ranger Station

Clear the Ranger Station Nursery Rhyme by placing the Monster Doll on the Candy and the Child Doll on the House. You can obtain the Child doll at the Watery Trailer Park and the Monster doll at the Watery Ranger Cabin.

Beach

Clear the Beach Nursery Rhyme by placing the Monster Doll on the Wave, the Child Doll on the Jewelry, and the Mother Doll on the Boat. You can obtain the dolls of the Mother and Child at the Trailer Park in Waterly, and the Monster Doll at the Ranger Cabin in Waterly.

Billie's Boat Yard

Clear the Nursery Rhyme at Billie's Boat Yard by placing the Mother Doll on the Wave and the Monster Doll on the Boat. You can obtain the Mother doll at Waterly's Trailer Park and the Monster doll at Waterly's Ranger Cabin.

What is the Nursery Rhyme Puzzle?

A puzzle that uses dolls

The Nursery Rhyme Puzzle is a puzzle exclusive to Saga's story in Alan Wake 2. Dolls are used to solve puzzles.

These dolls are placed on top of icons that make up the Nursery Rhyme Puzzles. They may also be used in other puzzles.

This makes collecting the dolls after using them a must.

Obtain Charms

Charms are items that Saga can add to Logan's Charm. They are received as rewards for solving the Nursery Rhyme.

These items have advantageous effects in exploration and battles. Up to three types of charms can be equipped at any time.

They are found near Nursery Rhymes or dropped somewhere nearby. It is recommended to explore your surroundings to collect them after successfully solving a puzzle.

A collectible and one of the trophy conditions

Nursery Rhymes are part of Alan Wake 2's collectibles, but that's not all. Solve all the Nursery Rhyme puzzles and you get the trophy Shift in Reality. If you're aiming for 100% completion, take on the challenge of getting to and solving all the Nursery Rhymes.
