Methods to Get a Clean Kill

First, Identify the Weak Points of the Prey with Na'vi Senses

If you want to get a Clean Kill, start by identifying the weakness of the prey with Na'vi senses. The weak points of the prey will be displayed in orange even after deciphering the Na'vi senses, making it easy to understand.

Target Adult or Mature Prey

Among the prey, there are juveniles, adults, and mature individuals. Adults and mature individuals are fewer in number but provide high-quality materials. In the case of animals that form herds, they will immediately flee after one individual is defeated. Therefore, it is recommended to target adult or mature individuals using Na'vi senses.

Consult the Hunting Guide for Prey You've Encountered Before

Prey that you have already seen with Na'vi senses will be registered in the "Hunting Guide" on the menu screen. Open the detailed screen and press the R1 button as indicated in the lower right corner of the screen to display the weakness.

Use the Bow to Hit a Weak Point and Defeat the Prey in One Shot

Clean Kill can be achieved by hitting a weak point with a bow in one shot. When Clean Kill is achieved, the screen will display "Clean Kill" and "Mercy".

Clean Kill is Difficult with Firearms

Using firearms like those used by humans to defeat prey will result in poor condition of the carcass. Clean Kill is difficult to achieve, so it is generally better to aim with weapons used by Na'vi, such as bows.

Easy access to high-quality items

By performing a Clean Kill, the damage to the corpse is minimized, making it easier to obtain high-quality items, especially from adult or mature creatures. This is useful for cooking and equipment crafting, so make sure to actively aim for Clean Kills.
