Uses of SID

Detect Specific Electronic Signals

SID can be used to detect specific electronic signals. By holding down the L1 button and equipping the SID by pressing the △ button, you can automatically detect electronic signals. The signals can be detected from a distance, but the reaction becomes stronger as you get closer to the source.

Different Actions Depending on the Mark

There are two types of electronic signals in SID, and different actions are required depending on the mark. A mark resembling a wrench allows for repair, while a mark resembling electrical wiring allows for hacking.

Marks Automatically Appear When There Are Nearby Usable Locations

SID automatically displays marks when you are close to locations where repair or hacking can be performed. Even if enemies are nearby, you can detect signals while fighting with other weapons.

Explore Node Frequencies

SID can be used to explore node frequencies. By exploring frequencies, you can repair malfunctioning nodes and proceed with the hacking process.

Perform Hacking

SID can be used to perform hacking. Hacking is possible after exploring node frequencies, and the difficulty of hacking increases with higher security levels.

How to Operate the SID

Overlapping Circles with the "R2 Button"

To align the frequency, slowly press the "R2 button" as the white frame shrinks and overlaps with the green line. The key is to gradually apply pressure instead of pressing the "R2 button" forcefully.

Moving the Marker towards the Mark

When hacking, use the left stick to move the marker towards the hacking mark. It is important to check if you are moving towards the mark while progressing.
