To capture the Black Marketeer, prepare the Hanging Trap and Campfire. When you trap the merchant with the Hanging Trap, you can reduce their HP without any resistance. The Campfire is efficient in reducing the merchant's HP, so it is recommended to use it when the damage to the merchant is low.
Reduce HP After Hooking with Hanging Trap
Place the Hanging Trap at the Black Marketeer's feet to automatically hook them, then proceed to reduce their HP. While trapped on the Hanging Trap, the Black Marketeer won't counterattack when you attack, making it easier to capture. It's advisable to attack until their HP is almost depleted.
Destroy Campfire when Remaining HP is 20%
When using the Campfire to reduce the Black Marketeer's HP, consider destroying the Campfire when they have around 20% HP remaining. Leaving the Campfire untouched may result in defeating the Black Marketeer.
Throw Sphere at the Black Marketeer

The Black Marketeer is less likely to be caught than Pals of the same level, so use it a Sphere with a high capturing rate. Also, before attempting to capture, it is recommended to collect Lifmunk Effigy statues to increase the character's capture stats.

If capture fails, the trap will break and the enemy will counterattack
If you fail to capture the Black Marketeer while they are caught in the Hanging Trap, the trap will break and they will counterattack. The Black Marketeer is strong, so once you escape, consider throwing another Sphere or defeating them and starting over from the beginning.
How to Respawn the Black Marketeer
Respawn by Returning to the Title Menu
The Dark Merchant will respawn when you return to the title. Even if you fail to catch it, you can immediately retry by simply returning to the title on the spot.

Things You Can Do with the Black Marketeers
Buy and Sell Pals
With a Black Marketeer, you can buy Pals and sell Pals you have already captured. Buying Pals requires a substantial amount of money, so it is recommended to earn money beforehand.
The Inventory is Random and Subject to Change
The Black Marketeer's inventory is random and will change when the player dies and respawns or when time passes. If you are looking for a specific Pal, make sure to visit the merchant multiple times until it is added to the inventory.
Catch the Black Marketeer
Build a Hanging Trap beside him and place the campfire right after. This will help you catch him without him fighting back.
