Bugs and Solution

Palworld Bugs and Issues

Since Palworld is still in its Early Access phase, it's common for players to encounter bugs and issues while playing the game. So, let's look into the Palworld bugs and issues. We will also find out if there are any possible ways to fix these so that you can continue your adventures in Palworld!

Bugs on PC and Xbox

Palworld is currently available on PC Patch v0.1.4.0 and Xbox Patch v0.1.1.3. Both platforms experience bugs and will require different approaches to fix these issues. Reporting these bugs will help the developers to continue updating and enhancing the game and your experience in Palword!

List of Palworld Bugs

Glitching into the Map

Spawning Underground is an issue where players glitch into the map and stuck there, even after multiple times of respawning. For players who do not play in casual mode, their loot ends up stuck under the map after respawning. The only way to retrieve their item is to glitch underground to where the loot is.

Steps to retrieve Loot left underground
1 To glitch under the map and retrieve your loot, you must go directly above the spot where the loot is.
2 Summon a Mount Pal and Pull out a Meat Cleaver.
3 Butcher the Pal while Mounting the Pal, you will then glitch into the map (underground).
4 Collect loot and change world settings to casual mode.
5 Respawn in the game.

Change settings to Casual Mode

Turn the game setting into Casual Mode to enable "Keep Inventory" for players. TThis prevents the loss of important items upon respawning, making gameplay more enjoyable and stress-free.

Floating Pals and Assets

After the Patch v0.1.4.0 update, players noticed a strange glitch where Pals and other objects like rocks appeared to be floating instead of properly positioned on the map. Affected Pals didn't move normally but seemed to glide between spots. Luckily, this bug usually resolves itself after a few minutes or by restarting the game.

Pal Sphere Not Working

Sometimes, Pal Spheres cannot be thrown by the player or does not appear at all. Pal Spheres are one of the most important items in Palworld, they are needed to capture Pals in Palworld. To solve this issue, players restart the game. If the issue persists even after restarting, players verify their Steam files and the problem goes away.

Steps to Verifying Steam Files
1 Open Steam to find Palworld in your Library
2 Right-click on the game and click Properties
3 Find Local Files tab
4 Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files
5 Restart the game

T-Posing Bug

There's a pesky bug in the game causing characters to get stuck in a T-pose during certain actions like riding Pals or constructing buildings. This T-posing issue, similar to the Flying T-Pose Bug, was addressed in the latest patch, so players can expect developers to fix it soon. Restarting the game or canceling the current action usually resolves the problem with the character model.

Motion Blur Does Not Turn Off

Players are suffering from motion sickness as they are unable to deactivate the motion blur feature in the game. Resolving this issue requires changing the game's graphics and performance settings. However, these are not found in the Options section the game's menu.

Steps to fix Motion Blur Bug
1 Go to Steam Palworld File Go to Xbox Palworld File
2 Copy the command
3 Paste the command at the bottom of the Engine.ini file then save
Command Prompt to Fix Motion Blur Bug
[/Script/Engine.RendererSettings] r.MotionBlur.Amount=0 r.MotionBlur.Max=5 r.MotionBlurSeparable=1 r.MotionBlurFiltering=0 r.MotionBlur.HalfResGather=0

If the Command Doesn't work, Change Properties to Read-Only

If the commands don't work then Palworld might have automatically removed it, it's normal for games to do this. To fix this, right-click and choose Properties > General > Read-only.

Pals Stuck in Combat Mode

After a raid, Pals sometimes become stuck in combat mode. One of the most recommended fixes is to use the Alarm Bell to switch all Pals from combat mode to work mode. The Alarm Bell is unlocked after reaching Technology Level 4. Other methods include waiting for another Raid and deleting your Palbox; both are risky and not advisable for players to do.

Lost Progress

This bug causes the Guild server to be inaccessible and affect the player's in game progress in Palworld. If encountered, players can find their backup data on their game files and use it to overwrite one of their existing saved files.

Steps to Revert Palworld Save Progress
1 Go to "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\steamID"
1 Select the save data you wish to overwrite with your backup
2 Copy LocalData.sav and the world data from the backup folder
3 Paste LocalData.sav and the worldata on the SaveGames by overwriting on one of the save data
4 Launch Game

UE Pal - Exception Access Violation Crash

UE Pal - Exception Access Violation Crash occurs when launching the world. Verifying game files can help fix this for both Steam and Xbox platforms.

Can't Fix the Bug? Restart the Game

In most cases, closing and restarting the game can help fix the bugs. However, this may affect your saved progress in Palworld and be tiresome to do if issues continue to show up. So it is highly recommended to check if there are other means to fix issues you're experiencing before trying this method.

Bugs with No Solutions

Memory Reset Drug Bug

Using the Memory Reset Drug will reset the players' Pal Capture Power stats and will make it impossible to regain.

Lifmunk Effigy Capture Rate Bug

The Liffmunk Effigy Bug decreases the Pal Capture Rate, making it harder for players to catch Pals. The Lifmunk Effigy is intended to increase the capture rate, acting as an additional buff effect for players. There are no official fixes provided for this bug.

Fortunately, this bug has been fixed as of Steam patch v0.1.4.1 and Xbox patch v0.1.1.4.
