Palworld: Base and Structures - How to Build

Learn how to build your base and various structures in Palworld. Make sure to construct it on a flat surface or where there are lots of resources.
How to Build

First, press the B key to open the building menu. The building menu displays the facilities that have been unlocked through technology, categorized by type. If you want to change the category, you can use the 1 key, 3 key, or mouse wheel.

2Select the facility you want to build
Once you have opened the building menu, select the facility you want to build. Note that if you don't have enough materials, you won't be able to select it, so it's a good idea to gather the necessary materials beforehand.

3Left-click on the desired location for construction
After selecting the facility you want to build, left-click on the desired location for construction. If you want to change the orientation of the building, you can use the mouse wheel to adjust the tilt. If it overlaps with other objects or is too close to a boss or special building, you won't be able to place it, so it's recommended to adjust the position while placing it.

4Hold down the F key to start the construction
Once you have determined the location for construction, hold down the F key to complete the construction. If you have a pal with building proficiency in your base, they will automatically perform the construction for you, so it is efficient to have them placed within the base.

It is recommended to build your base on a flat area. If you build your base in an area with many uneven surfaces, the Pal will have difficulty crossing them, making them more prone to hunger and illness.

Recommended locations for bases are areas with resources such as iron. By building your base in a location with valuable resources, the Pal will automatically gather them for you, increasing efficiency in gathering and production.
