Recommended Metal Base Locations and Automation Methods

Best Ingot Base Locations

Mountain near Small Settlement

When creating an Ingot base, it is recommended to move to the mountain west of the Small Settlement. It is close to the starting plateau and also near a respawn location, making it suitable.

Summit near Sealed Realm of the Guardian

If you want to secure Coal along with Ore, it is recommended to create a base at the summit near the Sealed Realm of the Guardian. Coal is used more frequently in the mid-game, so collecting it at the same time when setting up the second base will help prevent material shortages later on.

Best Pals for Mining, Transportation, and Food Production

Recommended Pals for Mining, Transportation, and Food Production

When building an Ingot base, it is recommended to place Pals for Mining, Transportation, and Food Production. Not only do they mine Ore, but they also transport it to your chests. It is also best to provide them with a food supply so that they can work even when left unattended.

Ingot Base Automation

Steps to Automate the Ingot Base
1 Choose the location for the base and place the Palbox
2 Set up a Berry Plantation and Feed Box
3 Install Chests for Ore collection
4 Place a Pickaxe and Helmet
5 Assign Pals
6 Set up Pal Beds and Hot Spring for the working Pals
  • 1Choose the location for the base and place the Palbox

Choose the location for the base and place Palbox

To create an Ingot base, decide on the location and build a Palbox. It is recommended to place the Palbox at the center of the planned mining base.

  • 2Set up a Berry Plantation and Feed Box

Set up Berry Plantation and Feeder

To automate the Ingot base, set up Berry Plantations and Feed Box. It is advisable to have 2-3 Berry Plantations to ensure a stable supply of feed.

  • 3Install Chests for Ore collection

Install storage boxes for metal collection

Once you have secured a food supply, build chests for the Pals to collect the mined Ore. Since they will only be collecting Ore, Stones, and Coal, a Wooden Chest is enough. Placing it near the Palbox will make the collection process easier.

  • 4Place a Pickaxe and Helmet

    Pickaxe and Helmet Level 30
     Pickaxe and Helmet Obtain
    CraftingMaterials
    Wood×50 / Stone×50 / Ingot×50

To increase mining efficiency, place a Pickaxe and Helmet. Since the effects do not stack, it is recommended to place one in a corner so it won't get in the way of the Pals.

  • 5Assign Pals

    Place a Pal

Once you have placed each facility, Assign Pals to work. Adjust the number of mining Pals and food production Pals based on the amount of work and food needed.

  • 6Set up Pal Beds and Hot Springs for working Pals

    Straw Pal Bed Level 3
     Straw Pal Bed Obtain
    CraftingMaterials
    Wood×10 / Fiber×5
    Hot Spring Level 9
    温泉 Obtain
    CraftingMaterials
    Wood×30 / Stone×15 / Paldium Fragment×10 / Pal Fluids×10

Once you have assigned Pals for work, set up beds and hot springs for the Pals. Without a hot spring or bed, SAN will decrease, leading to stress and illness, resulting in decreased efficiency.
