Ghost of Tsushima: Tutorial Walkthrough Chart

This guide provides a walkthrough chart for the tutorial of "Ghost of Tsushima" main story "Jin's Journey" (仁之道, "Path of Benevolence"). It explains the steps to clear the tutorial from the start of the game to the event where you lose against Khotun Khan, with accompanying images. Use this as a reference for your "Ghost of Tsushima" gameplay!

Beach Walkthrough Chart
| 1 | After the cutscene, proceed straight on horseback. |
| 2 | After a while, an arrow will be shot at you and a cutscene will start. |
| 3 | Follow Shimura on foot. |
| 4 | Continue straight and Mongol soldiers will appear. Defeat the enemies with your allies. |
| 5 | Follow Shimura again to trigger an event. |
| 6 | After the cutscene, press the circle button to start another cutscene. |
Riding the Horse on the Beach
Once you gain control, ride the horse straight ahead. While riding, you can attack with the square button, but there's no need to defeat any enemies here, so it's better to ignore them and continue.
Defeating Mongol Soldiers with Swordplay
When the on-foot section starts, follow Shimura and several Mongol soldiers will appear. You can defeat all the enemies with weak attacks using the square button and strong attacks using the triangle button. If you're unsure of the controls, you can always open the menu with the options button to check them at any time.
Walkthrough Chart to the Horse Stable
| 1 | After Jin wakes up, proceed straight ahead and enter the hut. |
| 2 | Pick up the armor in the back of the hut by pressing the R2 button, then leave the hut for an event. |
| 3 | Follow Yuna without being spotted by enemy soldiers. |
| 4 | Infiltrate the house from the roof and gather supplies inside the house. |
| 5 | Leave the house and follow Yuna, then infiltrate the house again. |
| 6 | Gather supplies inside the house and examine the sword in the back. |
| 7 | After the cutscene, train with Shimura. |
| 8 | Defeat the Mongol soldiers that appear after the flashback ends. |
| 9 | Follow Yuna again and defeat the three Mongol soldiers according to her instructions. |
| 10 | Proceed straight ahead and rescue the person asking for help. |
| 11 | Defeat the Mongol soldier in front of the horse stable. |
| 12 | Choose a horse and its name (the name of the beloved horse cannot be changed). |
Training with Shimura
In the flashback after examining the sword, control young Jin Sakai and train with Shimura. Follow the instructions written at the bottom of the screen to learn the basic combat controls. Once you complete the six training sessions, the flashback will end.
Progressing while Defeating Mongol Soldiers
After the flashback, continue forward while fighting Mongol soldiers. Press the down arrow key to use Resolve and restore health. Jin's health is not high, and if he takes consecutive attacks, he will quickly lose, so prioritize healing when his health is low.
Kaneda Castle Walkthrough Chart
| 1 | Proceed straight and head towards the castle. |
| 2 | Challenge and defeat the Mongol soldiers in a duel. |
| 3 | Defeat the Mongol soldiers while proceeding straight. |
| 4 | When all Mongol soldiers are defeated, an event will occur. |
| 5 | Defeat the Mongol soldiers while heading towards the castle. |
| 6 | Engage in another duel on the bridge and defeat all Mongol soldiers. |
| 7 | Fight against Khotun Khan (losing event). |
Defeating Enemies in One-on-One Battles
In this game, you can challenge enemies to a duel before the combat begins. During the duel, hold down the triangle (△) button and release it just before the enemy's attack to strike them down in one blow. However, be careful! Failing to strike at the right moment will result in Jin taking significant damage.

Fighting Khotun Khan
After defeating all the Mongol soldiers on the bridge, a duel with Khotun Khan will begin. The battle with Khotun Khan is a losing event, so there is no need to try winning the battle.
