The Best Defense Charm: "Amaterasu Charm"

The best defense charm is the Amaterasu Charm. This charm has the effect of restoring health every time an enemy is defeated, making it an excellent charm in this game where healing options are limited. Equip it together with close-range armor like the Sakai Armor.

The Amaterasu Charm can be obtained at the Golden Summit Shrine in the center of the Izuhara map. It is recommended to go and get it early on, as you can reach it as soon as you arrive in Izuhara.

Recommended for Beginners: "Mizu-no-Kami Charm"

The Mizu-no-Kami charm has the effect of making it easier to perform parries and perfect parries. Parrying is a crucial action in this game's combat. If you're having trouble with parrying, equip the Mizu-no-Kami charm. You can obtain it at the Spring Falls Shrine located to the north of Izuhara.

Recommended for Stealth: "Hoori-no-Mikoto Charm"

The Hoori-no-Mikoto Charm has the effect of making it less likely for surrounding enemies to notice you when assassinating enemies in the bushes. Always equip it when engaging in stealth gameplay. Additionally, it is recommended to equip it together with the Ronin's Attire for even better stealth capabilities.

The Hoori-no-Mikoto Charm can be obtained at the Turtle Rock Shrine in the center of the Toyotama map. You can go there anytime after arriving in Toyotama, so prioritize obtaining it.

Recommended Exploration Item: "Inari Charm"

Inari's charm has the effect of increasing the amount of materials that can be obtained. Since materials are heavily consumed in equipment enhancement, it is recommended to obtain them as soon as possible. Inari's charm can be obtained at the Arrow Peak Shrine located south of the Izuhara Map.

Charms can mainly be obtained as rewards from side quests. In addition to charms, you can also obtain materials and increase Jin's Legend Rank.

Obtained by Praying at Shrines

Charms can also be obtained by praying at shrines. You can obtain more powerful charms at shrines compared to those obtained from the Tales of Tsushima quests so make sure to go all the way to the top of the shrine and pray when you find one.
