This guide provides a walkthrough chart for "The Tale of Sensei Ishikawa" from the main quest (Jin's Journey) in Ghost of Tsushima. The guide also includes combat tips and rewards for "Ishikawa's Tale" which occurs at Hiyoshi Hot Springs.

Walkthrough for "The Tale of Sensei Ishikawa"

| 1 | Talk to the Innkeeper at the Hiyoshi Inn. |
| 2 | Climb the mountain and head to Ishikawa's Dojo. |
| 3 | Search for 3 clues in the Dojo. |
| 4 | Head to the house at the back of the Dojo and progress the event. |
| 5 | Follow Ishikawa and defeat the Mongol soldiers. |
| 6 | After investigating the campsite, participate in the archery challenge. |
| 7 | Proceed forward and examine 3 locations in the Nakayama Fort using the circle (◯) button. |
| 8 | Defeat the Mongol soldiers coming out of the fort with your bow from the cliff. |
| 9 | Infiltrate Fort Nakayama and defeat the remaining Mongol soldiers. |
| 10 | Examine 3 clues inside the fort. |
| 11 | Listen to the injured farmer's story and progress the event. |
Searching for Clues in the Dojo
Once you arrive at the Dojo, search for clues inside the building. Approach the bloodstains, arrows, and footprints, and press the R2 button to progress the quest.
Defeating Mongol Soldiers with the Bow
To shoot arrows with the bow, use the L2 button to aim and hold down the R2 button to release. Shooting a beehive, barrel, or torch can eliminate nearby enemies, so when enemies approach, aim at objects and shoot arrows. Additionally, aiming for the head can take down enemies with a single shot, so if you're directly targeting enemy soldiers, it's good to aim for headshots.
Enabling Auto-Aim
In this game, you can turn on auto-aim from the options menu. When auto-aim is enabled, it will automatically target nearby enemies, making it easier for those who struggle with shooting.
