Points of Concern in Ghost of Tsushima

There are some scenes where the flow of conversation and the Japanese language feel a bit unnatural.
The camera work during battles is challenging.

Flow of Conversation and Unnatural Japanese Language

Ghost of Tsushima Review

Due to Ghost of Tsushima being a Western game, there are parts where the flow of conversation and the Japanese language feel slightly unnatural during the translation process. Although the translation quality is quite high and obvious mistranslations or unnatural Japanese have not been confirmed at this time, it is still a concerning element.

Challenging Camera Work during Battles

Ghost of Tsushima Review

Ghost of Tsushima does not have a target camera or a button to face forward. Therefore, you need to use the right stick to adjust the camera while fighting.

If left unattended, your field of view can be obstructed by grass or buildings, but there are other things you need to do such as moving, attacking, and evading. As a result, you may struggle with the camera work until you get used to the controls.

Story Summary of Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima_Invasion of Tsushima Army

In the late 13th century, the Mongol Empire (Yuan Dynasty) aimed to conquer the Eastern world and trampled over every country that stood in its way.

At the eastern edge, leading the massive fleet of the Yuan army, which was organized to invade Japan, was the cold and cunning strategist, Kotun Khan. Khan landed in Tsushima as a foothold for the invasion.

To prevent this, the samurai warriors of Tsushima gathered together, only to be completely defeated in the first battle by the unprecedented military tactics of the Yuan army. The island was quickly engulfed in the flames of invasion.
However, there was one samurai who barely survived.

Jin Sakai.

As the last survivor of the Sakai clan, Jin is determined to protect the people of Tsushima, even if it means resorting to fighting methods that go against the way of the samurai. As a resurrected warrior from the underworld, known as the "Ghost," he will use every means necessary to reclaim his homeland from the enemy.
