You can acquire the mythic technique, "Way of the Flame," by clearing the mythic tale called "The Undying Flame." This mythic tale can be obtained from the wandering musician in the northern part of the province. You can visit Jogaku Temple in the northern part of the province after clearing the main story mission "Honor and Ash," so first, progress through the quests until you reach the northern part of the province.

The Way of the Flame is a mythic technique that consumes oil to envelop the blade in flames. When you attack enemies with the flaming blade, it deals significant damage and can also cause continuous damage by setting enemies on fire.

Use against staggered enemies

The Way of the Flame is most effective when activated against enemies who are unable to defend themselves due to being staggered. When the enemy's guard is down, activate the technique to deal additional damage. Additionally, activating it requires the use of incendiary oil which has a limited duration per stock. You can upgrade the storage capacity of the Way of the Flame at any Trapper in Tsushima.

The Way of the Flame can ignite enemies, making it effective against enemies with high HP such as Mongol leaders and elite soldiers. If you can land an attack while the technique is active, you can deal significant damage and additional damage from the burn. However, be cautious as the flame will not ignite if the attack is blocked.

Combine with other techniques

You can use other techniques while the Way of the Flame is active. Performing powerful attacks such as Heavenly Strike or "Dance of Wrath during the Way of the Flame's effect will deal even more damage, making it highly recommended.
