The mythic tale "The Spirit of Yarikawa's Vengeance" can be accepted from the wandering musician (Biwa performer) who appears on the road south of Old Yarikawa. Progress the event near the refugee camp

Once you accept the quest, head to the refugee camp located southwest of the former Kushi River site to progress the event. Find an offering at the shrine on the south side of the refugee camp, and an event with Heitaro will occur. Follow Heitaro and continue the event.

Progress the event at the northwest of the former Kushi River

After completing the event at the refugee camp, proceed to the northwest of the former Kushi River to progress the event. Read the inscription near the bridge in the vicinity of the former Kushi River, and an event will occur at the Mongol camp along the river. Listen to the story of the peasant imprisoned in the camp's prison and continue the event.

Progress the event near the center of the Ruins of Old Yarikawa

After investigating the Mongol camp, examine the shrine near the abandoned house in the vicinity of the center of the Ruins of Old Yarikawa. As you investigate the shrine, a conflict will occur nearby. Enter the residence where the conflict took place through the roof or holes near the floor, and investigate the true identity of the vengeful spirit of the Yarikawa.

Defeat the vengeful spirit of Yarikawa in the garden

After completing the investigation of the residence, white smoke will rise in the northern sky. Examine the offering at the location where the smoke is coming from, then return to the center of the Ruins of Old Yarikawa and head towards the garden. The garden is illuminated by the light of fireflies, so use the yellow light of the fireflies as a guide.

Once you arrive at the garden, an event will occur, and you will engage in a battle with the vengeful spirit of the Yarikawa. The vengeful spirit can only be attacked with a sword, so focus on parrying and deflecting using the stone stance. When the vengeful spirit has very little remaining HP, you will be able to activate the Dance of Wrath by pressing R1 and L1 simultaneously.
