Tips for Story Progression

Defeat Enemies Stealthily as Much as Possible

Ghost of Tsushima_Stealthy Attack Through the Shoji

Try to defeat enemies stealthily as much as possible during quests. Especially in the early stages, it is dangerous for Jin to fight head-on due considering his low stats. It is better to eliminate enemies one by one without being noticed and reduce their numbers. You can learn stealth attacks after clearing the main story quest "The Warrior's Code."

Carefully Choose What Skills to Learn

Ghost of Tsushima_The Art of Parrying

There is no limit to the number of skills you can acquire, but since you cannot reset them, carefully choose the skills to learn. In the early stages, it is recommended to prioritize learning offensive and defensive skills, which are the skills of a samurai.

Always Pick Up Materials When You Find Them

Ghost of Tsushima_Supplies

There are materials such as bamboo and supplies scattered throughout the map. Since materials are consumed in large quantities for equipment upgrades, be sure to pick them up when you find them. Equipping the Inari's Charm increases the amount of materials you can obtain, so it is recommended to wear it during exploration.

Try to Clear Sub-Quests as Much as Possible

Ghost of Tsushima_Worldly Grass

There are many Side Quests and Mythic Tales in this game. There are no time-limited quests, but by completing side quests, you can obtain techniques, materials, and more, so take on sub-quests when you find them!

Story of Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima_Invasion of Tsushima Army

In the late 13th century, the Mongol Empire (Yuan Dynasty) planned to conquer the Eastern world and trampled over every country that stood in their way.

At the eastern edge, leading the massive fleet of the Yuan army, which was organized to invade Japan, was the cold and cunning strategist, Kotun Khan. Khan landed in Tsushima as a foothold for the invasion.

The samurai warriors of Tsushima, who gathered to prevent this, were completely defeated in the first battle by the unprecedented military tactics of the Yuan army. The island was quickly engulfed in the flames of invasion.
However, there was one samurai who barely survived.

Jin Sakai.

As the last survivor of the Sakai clan, Jin is determined to protect the people of Tsushima, even if it means resorting to fighting methods that go against the way of the samurai. As a "revenant" who has risen from the underworld, he will use any means necessary to reclaim his homeland from the enemy.
