Tips for Fighting WLF

Target the Dog and its Handler First

Take Down the Handler First in The Last of Us Part II

Dogs are troublesome enemies that track your scent, so it's best to target them first. If you take down its handler first, the dog will stay in place, making it easier to take down.

Reduce Enemie Numbers Using Stealth

Stealth Skills are Essential in The Last of Us Part II

Since WLF has a large number of soldiers, most of whom are armed, it is very dangerous to engage the group head-on. Use stealth skills like grabbing enemies from behind or using silenced weapons to take out isolated soldiers and to avoid alerting others. Additionally, against multiple enemies, use listen mode to confirm their positions and patrol routes.

If spotted, escaping is an option

Escape in The Last of Us Part II

Since WLF enemies use guns, it is difficult to run through when surrounded by multiple enemies. Instead of combat when you're detected, another option is to retreat and hide. Once the enemies lose sight of the player, stealth can be used again.

Take Down Enemies Close Together with Bombs and Molotovs

You can use throwable items to get multiple soldiers closer to each other. Throw bottles or bricks to create noise and lure enemies, then take down clumped-together enemies with bombs or Molotov Cocktails.
