Opening the Gates
Open the gates of the quarantine zone for Ellie and Dina to progress on their journey. Ellie enters the area by climbing up and will now attempt to find a way to restore power to the gates using the generator. While searching for answers, be sure to keep an eye out for collectibles along the way.
Arriving at the Quarantine Zone Guide
| 1 | Ride the horse through the forest. |
| 2 | Get off the horse at the bus stop and get the Motivator trading card. |
| 3 | Continue riding the horse along the freeway. |
| 4 | Stop by the abandoned house to get the Map of Seattle artifact and The Starfire Kids trading card. (Collect before crossing the river). |
| 5 | Cross the river on the horse and proceed straight ahead. |
| 6 | Get off the horse when you reach the quarantine zone. |
Picking Up Collectibles
You can get trading cards at the bus stop and inside the abandoned house. Additionally, there are other materials such as alcohol and the map artifact to collect. Make sure to stop by these locations before crossing the river, as you won't be able to return afterward.
Unlocking the Gates Guide
| 1 | Inspect the graffiti on the front of the gate to get a Journal Entry. |
| 2 | Get the Infected Infographic and Refugee Note artifacts found inside the two military buildings near the gate. |
| 3 | Climb the sandbags located behind the military building, then jump onto the top of the holding cells. |
| 4 | Carefully cross the narrow platforms. |
| 5 | Leap to the iron platform and continue by crawling through the gap below, holding the ○ button. |
| 6 | Move over the scaffolding next to the wall and drop down inside the quarantine zone. |
| 7 | Enter the watchtower and climb the ladder on the left to get Isaac's Orders artifact and Chessmaster trading card. |
| 8 | Go down the ladder. (You won't be able to return afterward. Make sure to collect the items on the upper floor first.). |
| 9 | Inspect the circuit breaker and confirm that the electricity is not flowing. |
| 10 | Examine the generator behind the military building and press the △ button at the right time to start it. |
| 11 | Check the plug extending from the generator and connect it to the circuit breaker, then press the red button. |
| 12 | Talk to Dina through the gate's small opening. |
| 13 | Collect the supplies found both inside and on the rooftop of the military building. |
| 14 | Throw the cable from the generator's position toward the opposite side of the building's roof. Press the X button to climb up through the cable and get the Oozer trading card. |
| 15 | Connect the plug to the distribution board located behind the other military building. |
| 16 | Enter the main gate passcode 0512 into the control panel inside the building. |
Explore the Quarantine Zone
After reaching the quarantine zone, dismount your horse and begin exploring. Look for collectibles inside two military buildings. Moreover, you can pick up supplies scattered within the holding cells outside.
Moving Across Buildings
Climb the sandbags located behind the military buildings to reach the top. From there, navigate across the buildings and cages, and proceed towards the ladder.
Descend After Collecting Items
Upon reaching the quarantine zone's watchtower, you can explore the area and get Isaac's Orders artifact and Chessmaster trading card on the upper floor. After collecting them, climb down the ladder and focus on opening the gates.
Supply Power to the Two Distribution Panels
Power up both distribution panels to open the gates. Begin by activating the left generator and connecting it to its respective distribution panel. Next, plug the right generator into the second distribution panel. Finally, enter the passcode 0512 into the control panel within the military building to unlock the gate.
