How to Use the Double Barrel Shotgun
Takedown nearby enemies
The Double Barrel Shotgun has high firepower but limited range, so it is best used for taking down nearby enemies. Infected tend to run towards you, so make sure to lure them in before shooting.
Incendiary Shells against infected enemies
The incendiary shells for the Double Barrel Shotgun are effective against infected enemies. Unlike regular shells, incendiary shells can burn and damage enemies even from a distance. If there are multiple infected, you can burn all of them within the area of effect.
Recommended Upgrades
Damage Upgrade
It is recommended to upgrade the damage of the Double Barrel Shotgun in order to increase its firepower. By upgrading, you will be able to deal even greater damage to tough enemies such as Shambler and Bloater.
No need to upgrade
The Double Barrel Shotgun has enough damage to take down enemies like humans and Clickers in one shot even without upgrades. Since upgrading reload speed and stability is a lower priority, it may be better to save parts for other weapons instead.
