Unlocking the Covert Ops Skill Tree
The Covert Ops skill tree is unlocked by picking up the Covert Ops Training Manual in On Foot during Seattle Day 1. It can be found inside the warehouse's hanging boat. After Mel unlocks the door, place the ladder to reach the boat. This tree will allow you to craft important shivs for stealth skills and dealing with Clickers, so be sure to pick it up.
After killing an enemy with a STRIKE, for a short time your next melee attack will also be a STRIKE. STRIKES are high-damage melee moves against stunned or surprised enemies.
