Ellie's Story

Silencer

The Silencer is a craftable item that can be attached to a pistol to suppress the sound of gunfire. With the Silencer attached, you can fire your weapon without alerting enemies for safer stealth gameplay. Ellie can buy the Craft Silencers Skill after unlocking the Stealth skill tree.

Arrows

Arrows are silent projectiles that allow you to take down enemies from a distance. They are especially useful when dealing with multiple enemies near each other or when sniping a sniper. Prioritize crafting arrows and keep a stock of them. Upgrade the bow by attaching a rangefinder to measure the drop of your arrows for more accurate long-range sniping.

Trap Mine

The Trap Mine is a weapon that can be placed at your feet and explodes when an enemy approaches, taking them down in one blow. It's effective against enemies like Stalkers who are difficult to snipe due to their constant movement. It is also effective against high-HP enemies like Bloaters.

Abby's Story

Incendiary Shells

Incendiary Shells are one type of ammunition for the Double Barrel Shotgun. It becomes craftable when Abby unlocks the Firearms skill tree. It is effective against the infected since they're weak to fire. It provides a significant advantage in battles against strong enemies like the Rat King. Be sure to craft it before engaging in battles with powerful foes.

Shiv

Having a Shiv during Abby's Story allows for stealth kills on Clickers. It saves ammunition and doesn't make any noise, so be sure to craft Shivs when you have the opportunity to stealth kill Clickers.

Pipe Bomb

The Pipe Bomb is an explosive that bounces off walls and is effective against multiple enemies. Additionally, it is effective against infected since they're weak to fire. Similar to the Incendiary Shells, it is recommended to craft it before facing strong enemies like the Rat King.

How to Craft

Craft from the menu by pressing the touchpad

To craft, press the touchpad to open the menu, select the item you want to make, and hold down the ◯ button. You can also craft by pressing the ◯ button from the weapon equipment screen. If you want to increase the crafting speed, try unlocking the Faster Crafting skill.
