Learn Stealth Skills and Other Abilities
The first infected enemy will appear in this section. You will learn combat techniques such as stealth takedowns, dodging or dashing, and reloading weapons.

The Overlook Walkthrough
| 1 | Follow Owen. |
| 2 | Continue ahead and climb the mountain. |
| 3 | Rapidly press the □ button to escape from enemies. |
| 4 | Keep dodging enemies using the L1 button and counter-attack with the □ button. |
| 5 | Enter the house. |
| 6 | Hold ○ to go prone and advance through the kitchen. |
| 7 | Crawl out of the house and proceed to the next one through the left window. Get the health kit and Note from a Father artifact along the way. |
| 8 | Proceed straight. |
| 9 | Squeeze through the gap in the wall using the L stick and ×. |
| 10 | Approach the infected from behind and use the △ button for a stealth kill. |
| 11 | Go down the stairs and defeat two more enemies in the living room. |
| 12 | Exit the house and seek cover behind the cars and trucks to evade enemies. |
| 13 | Proceed straight and follow the horse's footprints. |
Learn Basic Controls
Familiarize yourself with the fundamental controls while navigating the snowy mountains with Owen. As you advance through this section, use the ○ button to crouch, × to jump, and L1 to dash.
Dodge and Close Combat Attacks
Engage in battle with three Runners as you climb the mountain. Dodge their attacks by pressing the L1 button. You can attack them at close range with the □ button.
Prone Ability
After defeating the Runners, enter a house and proceed through the kitchen by going prone. Hold down the ○ button to crawl under the debris. There will be an infected near the exit, so aim with L2 and snipe by pressing R2.
Get Supplies and Collectibles while Exploring
Upon escaping, head to the next house through the window on the left. You can find a health kit and the Note from a Father artifact inside.

Listen Mode Ability
When you reach the second house, a tutorial on using the listen mode will be provided. Utilize this ability with the R1 button to identify enemy positions. Take advantage of it to approach the enemy inside the house from behind and execute a stealth kill using the △ button.
