Downtown Map and Locations

Conditions for the Sightseer Trophy

Downtown has exploration locations numbered from ① to ⑩. Visiting all of them unlocks the Sightseer Trophy. Progress through the story while stopping by these locations.

Locations ⑪ to ⑬ are not required for the trophy

You can still earn the trophy even if you skip the tank at location ⑪, the ruined building at ⑫, and the fire truck at ⑬. However, completionists should visit these locations to collect all possible artifacts and training manuals.

The Diagonal Line as a Completion Indicator

When Ellie finishes exploring, she marks a diagonal line over the question mark on the map, indicating that she has visited the location.

Downtown Collectibles Guide

Gate West 2

Safe Location

Ensure to unlock the safe at Gate West 2. The passcode is connected to the clue inscribed at the gate, and you can discover the solution by checking the Checkpoint Gate Codes artifact.

Workbench

Accessing the Music Store

To reach the second floor of the store, follow the passage beyond the workbench. Remember to get the collectibles along the way.

The Dome

Visit the Dome for Gasoline

Visit the Dome to get gasoline. Enemies only appear outside, making it easier to clear the location compared to the Courthouse. Strategize when you're low on supplies.

Coffee Shop

Getting the Key to Barko's

The key is located inside the Ruston Coffee Shop; enter the store by smashing the glass window. There are infected inside, so it's best to be armed before proceeding.

Courthouse

Visit the Courthouse for Gasoline

Visit the Courthouse to get gasoline. Enemies here will attack all at once. Equip a powerful rifle or the Pump Shotgun found at the bank.

Music Store

Getting the Trading Card

In the Valiant Music Shop, you'll find a trading card and a guitar. Make sure to grab both before you finish exploring. Also, visit the workbench on the first floor before you leave.

Barko's

Getting the Holster

You can find a holster at Barko's. Unequipped weapons are normally stored in your backpack but equipping a holster allows quick switching between your pistol and another weapon.

Holster Type Depends on the Pump Shotgun

The holster you get at Barko's is determined by whether you got the Pump Shotgun at Westlake Bank. If you weren't able to secure the shotgun, you'll be given the Short Gun Holster. On the other hand, if you already have it, you'll be provided with the Long Gun Holster.

Ruins

Breaking the Glass to Ascend

You can go up in the Ruins by breaking the glass. Items, such as trading cards, are located above, so throw the bricks scattered around to break through and proceed further.

Bank

Get the Pump Shotgun and Ring

You can get the Pump Shotgun at the Westlake bank, and there's also an antique ring essential for earning the So Great and Small Trophy. Stop by to collect these items.

Runners and Clickers Will Appear

Inside the bank, two Clickers and several Runners will appear. Use Molotov cocktails or keep firing from afar.

After examining the vault, there will be more Clickers and Runners. You can ignore them and escape since there is no benefit in defeating them.

Food Truck

Get the Artifact

You can get the Note to Informant Artifact by opening the food truck. There is nothing else inside, so proceed to the next location once you get the note.

Get Another Artifact on the Bridge

To access the bridge, climb onto the food truck's roof, where you'll discover the Cache Hunter Note artifact. Make sure to collect it as you pass by the courthouse since it's nearby.

Tank

Pick up the Letter from Isaac Artifact

Locate a tank and open the hatch to gather supplies and ammunition. Examine the corpse nearby to get the Letter from Isaac artifact.

Ruined Building

Pick up the WLF Community Supply Chest Note Artifact

Before proceeding to the ladder that leads to the courthouse, climb the nearby stairs. At the top, you'll find an item and the WLF Community Supply Chest Note artifact.

Firetruck and Overturned Truck

Get Axe and the Training Manual

Inspect the firetruck to get an axe. Then, grab the fire hose to reach the overturned truck on the other side, where you will get the items and the Crafting Training Manual.

Players who Pre-ordered Will Not Find the Manual at the Location

Players who pre-ordered already have the Crafting Training Manual at the start​. Therefore, it would not be located inside the overturned truck.
