The Resort Walkthrough
| 1 | Avoid the Rattlers patrol and follow the railroad tracks. Examine the green van in front of the second house to get a Journal Entry. |
| 2 | Open the door of the red train car then climb the ladder for a cutscene. |
| 3 | After witnessing the slaves being taken away, climb down and follow the railroad tracks. The Santa Barbara Slave Note artifact is next to a dead body on the left side. Proceed under the blue train car and go past the chain-link fence. |
| 4 | Get through the Rattlers' hideout. There is a workbench in the center and the Sparkthug Trading Card is on the desk to the right inside the front building. |
| 5 | Get through the second Rattlers' hideout. Climb the stairs to the second floor of the mansion to get the Rattler's Letter Home artifact next to the bed on the right. |
| 6 | Enter the circular building and go through the red door in the basement. |
Avoiding the Rattlers' Patrol and Following the Railroad Tracks
Once The Resort starts, follow the railroad tracks to progress. However, be careful of the Rattlers' hideout on your left and avoid their patrol. Checking the green van in front of the second building will get you a Journal Entry. You can pick up the Santa Barbara Slave Note artifact near the dead body on the left side of the dead end of the railroad tracks.
Getting through the Rattlers' Hideout
Crawl under the train car and head towards the other side of the chain-link fence to enter the Rattlers' Hideout. Untie the Runner's chain in the center of the hideout to alert the Rattlers and make them come outside, making it easier to defeat them. Additionally, there is a workbench in the central workshop of the hideout, so make sure to investigate it.

Getting through the second Rattlers' Hideout
Use the wooden plank to cross into another Rattlers' Hideout. There is a chained Runner and a Clicker in the center of this hideout, so release them to confuse the Rattlers. However, be careful as the Clicker will come towards Ellie if you don't release them stealthily. Stay in place until the Clicker moves away.
Heading towards the Circular Building
Once inside the hideout, head towards the neighboring circular building from the second floor. There are patrols in the circular building as well, so it's recommended to use long-range attacks with a rifle or bow. Lure them out with bottles and place Trap Mines in the corridors to clear them out.
