The Shortcut
| 1 | Follow the path and head towards the highway. |
| 2 | Continue ahead and cross the rapids. |
| 3 | Enter the blue building on the opposite side. |
| 4 | Fight the Seraphites to reach the highest floor. |
Artifacts and Safes in Buildings
The Shortcut has hidden artifacts and safes in buildings along the way. While not necessary for story progression, this is worth the detour to get trophies.
The Descent
| 1 | Enter the door on the 19th floor and get the gas mask from the corpse at the end of the hall. |
| 2 | Defeat the Stalkers and return to Lev. |
| 3 | Return to the door on the 19th floor and descend to the 15th floor using the fire hose. |
| 4 | Defeat the infected while descending to the lower floors. |
| 5 | Exit the building, swim across the waters, and head to the hospital. |
Flamethrower: A New Weapon
You can get the Flamethrower in The Descent. This new high-powered weapon emits flames by holding the R2 button. It has a capacity of up to 100 fuel, which depletes when activated. Use this weapon strategically when surrounded by infected like Shamblers and Stalkers.

Ground Zero
| 1 | Follow Nora. |
| 2 | Go straight from the back of the chapel and enter the emergency ward. |
| 3 | Continue further from the supply room. |
| 4 | Examine the ambulance drawers and get surgical tools. |
| 5 | Escape from the Rat King. |
| 6 | Defeat the Rat King. |
| 7 | Chase after the Stalker and go outside. |
Defeating the Giant Infected
In Ground Zero, you will have to face a giant infected known as the Rat King. You'll die instantly once captured, so use the Flamethrower to inflict massive damage and counter its high health. Prepare beforehand and upgrade weapons like the Pump Shotgun or Hunting Pistol at the workbench.

Return to the Aquarium

Complete the Stage with the Toy Shark
There are no enemies or collectibles in Return to the Aquarium. Progress through the story by choosing the toy shark at the gift shop.
