Ellie, the protagonist, is a strong-willed and independent young woman. Often gets into arguments with others but still reflects resilience and toughness. Having grown up without knowing the love of a family, she learns about it through her journey with Joel in the post-apocalyptic world. In this game, we also see her exploring her sexuality and developing feelings for Dina, another survivor living in Jackson.

Having lived in a world overrun by infected and looters for a long time, Ellie has become highly proficient in various weapons such as bows and firearms. Her physical abilities are also exceptional, with strength and agility that rival those of many men.

Immune to Infection

Ellie has antibodies against the infection caused by a mysterious parasitic fungus. In the previous game, Joel rescued her from a faction seeking to create a vaccine using her immunity. Since then, she has concealed the bite marks with a tattoo, keeping her immunity a secret.

The Girl Embarks on a Journey of Revenge

Ellie was peacefully living with Joel and other survivors in Jackson, Wyoming. However, this was shattered after a certain incident. She sets off on a journey of revenge with Dina.
