How to Defeat Stalkers
Strike after stunning using a throwable
Stalkers have a lot of health and are difficult to defeat with regular melee attacks. However, you can take them down quickly by throwing a bottle and then performing a Strike with the □ button. Since there are often throwable objects in the areas where Stalkers appear, always carry one and use it to perform Strikes when Stalkers are chasing you.
Shotguns or Molotov Cocktails
Stalkers are agile and often difficult to defeat one by one using stealth kills. Try to lure them together using empty bottles or bricks and then use weapons that hit a large area, such as Shotguns or Molotov Cocktails, to eliminate them all at once. Trap Mines are also effective.
Melee attacks are effective against a solo Stalker
Stalkers' attacks can be avoided by dodging them, so if there are no other enemies nearby, you can defeat them with melee. Keep in mind that Stalkers have more health compared to Runners and may not flinch when hit with melee attacks. Observe their movements intently to avoid their attacks while getting your hits in.
What is a Stalker?
The crawling infected
Stalkers are mid-stage infected with more fungal growth compared to Runners. They have stronger physical abilities than Runners and move quickly on all fours, attacking survivors as soon as they spot them.
Have a habit of ambushing at corners
Stalkers have a habit of ambushing survivors at corners while clinging to walls. They will attack as soon as you approach a corner, so quickly dodge to avoid their attacks.
Stalker Encounter Locations
First Appearance in The Seraphites - Seattle Day 2
Stalkers make their first appearance at the newspaper office in The Seraphites during Seattle Day 2. If you want to conserve supplies, you can ignore them and sneak by without being chased, if you immediately go outside the window, which is Ellie's destination.
