Lower the ladder with Ashley's help

Once you start Chapter 5, work with Ashley on the second floor to lower the ladder. Lower the ladder, go upstairs, and jump out of the window to advance the story.

Proceed while giving instructions to Ashley

To prevent Ashley from being abducted, proceed while giving her instructions. It's okay as long as she follows your instructions. Be careful not to accidentally hit Ashley, as it could result in a game over. Attack the enemies' legs to regain control of her.

Get through the Cemetery and proceed to the Town Hall

While protecting Ashley, go through the Cemetery and proceed to the Town Hall. Since there are many enemies in the area, it's okay to ignore them and proceed if you can't defeat them all.

Prepare for the upcoming battle by upgrading at the Merchant

Once you reach the Town Hall, upgrade your weapons at the Merchant to prepare for the upcoming battle. In the later part of Chapter 5, there will be a siege where you will fight multiple enemies in a confined area, so make sure to have powerful weapons like the Shotgun or the Submachine Gun.

Proceed further from the ladder in the North of the Village Square

After leaving the Town Hall, proceed further from the ladder on the North side of the Village Square. Since there are powerful enemies ahead, it is recommended to either ignore them or fight while keeping a distance.

Take refuge in the cabin and the siege battle will begin

Once you take refuge in the cabin, a cutscene will occur. After this, the siege battle will begin. In the siege battle, you need to protect the house from approaching enemies and fight in a confined area, so don't hesitate to use strong weapons.

Tips for Siege Battle

Set up barricades with wooden boards or dressers as needed

In a siege battle, start by setting up barricades with dressers. When you set up barricades, the enemy's entry points will be blocked for a certain period of time. This will reduce the number of places you need to monitor. You can also use wooden boards as barricades, so pick them up from tables or floors.

Don't worry about Luis, he's invincible

Luis provides support to Leon, such as replenishing ammo and providing cover fire. He is invincible and doesn't take damage from enemies! So don't worry about him. Fight using the first and second floors as you see fit.

Take down all ladders on the second floor

When a scene with ladders being set up on the second floor occurs, take them all down. Setting up ladders is a signal for enemies to invade from the second floor, so it's recommended to block them in advance.

Use shotguns or flash ammo when surrounded

If there are too many enemies to handle, use shotguns or flash ammo to fight back. Siege battles are challenging, so use powerful weapons and tools to defeat the enemies.
