Steps to Complete Chapter 16

Lower the Ladder with Ashley's Assistance

Once Chapter 16 starts, team up with Ashley to lower the ladder. After that, proceed directly to the Sanctuary.

Head Straight Through the Sanctuary

Upon reaching the Sanctuary, continue straight ahead. Be sure to pick up the "Iluminados Pendant" along the way.

Gear Up for the Final Battle at the Merchant

After leaving the Sanctuary, you'll encounter the Merchant. Stock up on powerful weapons like a rapid-fire Sniper Rifle or a Rocket Launcher to better tackle the final boss.

Defeat the Final Boss Saddler

After talking to the Merchant, a cutscene will initiate the final battle with Saddler. Aim for his eye to weaken him, then close in and use the Knife for heavy damage.

Exit the Island Within the Time Limit

Once you've defeated Saddler, make your way off the island before time runs out. The enemies you encounter will be incapacitated, so you can safely ignore them.

Navigate the Boat Safely

As you board the boat, accelerate and keep moving. If an obstacle is in your path, slow down and maneuver around it. Successfully leaving the island within the allotted time means you've completed the game.

Final Boss Strategy

Focus on attacking the eyeballs on the joints

In the final boss battle, concentrate your attacks on the eyeballs on its leg joints. Breaking one eyeball will momentarily stagger it, and breaking two or more will cause it to go down, giving you a chance to deal massive damage.

When it's down, get close and finish it off with the Knife

When the final boss is down, approach it and press the R2 button to inflict heavy damage with the Knife. If you manage to down it from a distance, it's recommended to aim for the long frontal eyeball section.

Shoot the nearby cans to make them explode

If there are cans near the final boss, shoot them to make them explode. Hitting the boss with the explosion will stagger it, allowing you to attack the vulnerable eyeballs at the back more efficiently.

Defeat the second form with the Rocket Launcher obtained from Ada

When the final boss transforms into its second form, it will launch multiple attacks, so use the ◯ button to dodge. As time passes, Ada will throw you a Rocket Launcher, so aim for the central sphere and shoot to complete the strategy.

Where to Find Clockwork Castellan During Your Escape

The Clockwork Castellan in Chapter 16 can be found as you make your escape from the island. It's located atop some materials at the back of an area filled with incapacitated enemies. Destroy it with a Handgun or another similar weapon, and then make your getaway.
