Strategy for Saddler's First Form

Points for defeating Saddler
Focus on attacking the eyeballs on the joints
Approach and use the Knife when he's down
Shoot the nearby cans to make them explode
Defeat the surrounding insects to collect items

Aim for the Eyeballs on His Joints

Focus on attacking the eyeballs on the joints

During your battle against Saddler, focus on attacking the eyeballs located on the joints of his legs. Hitting one eyeball will temporarily stagger him, while hitting two or more will knock him down, giving you a window to deal massive damage.

Use Your Knife When He's Down

Approach and use the Knife when he's down

Once Saddler is down, get close and press the R2 button to use your knife, inflicting heavy damage. If you've knocked him down from a distance, aim for the elongated eyeball on his front.

Explode Nearby Cans to Stagger Him

Shoot the nearby cans to make them explode

If you notice any cans near Saddler, shoot them to make them explode. The explosion will stagger him, making it easier for you to target the eyeball at his back.

Defeat Nearby Insects for Items

Defeat the surrounding insects to collect items

Insects will occasionally appear to disrupt your focus. They have low health, so take them out as you go. Doing so will drop items like ammo and herbs, allowing you to replenish your supplies.

Strategies for Saddler's Second Form

Strategy for Saddler Phase 2
Shoot at the central sphere
Finish him off with the Rocket Launcher from Ada

Target the Central Sphere

Shoot at the central sphere

When Saddler transforms into his second form, aim your attacks at the central sphere, his weak point. Be cautious of his attacking tentacles and dodge them as you continue your assault.

Finish Him Off with Ada's Rocket Launcher

Defeat Saddler Phase 2 with the Rocket Launcher from Ada

After you've done enough damage, Ada will provide you with a Rocket Launcher. Use it to finish Saddler off by aiming at his central sphere. Make sure to aim carefully; otherwise, it could result in an immediate game over.

Game over if you miss with the Rocket Launcher

If you shoot the Rocket Launcher at anything other than the central sphere, it will result in an instant game over. When you receive the Rocket Launcher, make sure to aim carefully before firing.

If you have enough money, the Rocket Launcher is the best weapon to use. On lower difficulties, one shot from the Rocket Launcher can defeat Saddler's first form instantly, significantly shortening the battle.
