Walkthrough Steps Leading Up to El Gigante 2 Battle

Gear Up at the Merchant

At the beginning of the chapter, you'll find a Merchant close by. Although no new weapons are available, you can try your hand at a new shooting range mission to win useful charms.

Navigate to the Blocked Path at the Rear of the Mine

Climb the ladder and head toward the obstructed path at the back of the mine. As it can't be cleared yet, take the right passage for now.

Fight Off Villagers and Chainsaw Man

Once you reach the plaza, a skirmish against the Chainsaw Man and villagers ensues. It's advised to use the Stingray to land headshots on the Chainsaw Man before he gets too close.

Lower the Bridge via the Building's Switch

Go up the stairs to the building and hit the switch inside to lower the bridge. Be prepared to deal with more villagers as the bridge descends.

Collect the Dynamite at the Bridge's End

After crossing the bridge, defeat the three villagers who appear and grab the dynamite located at the end of the path.

Clear the Rock-Blocked Path with Dynamite

With the dynamite in hand, head back to the blocked path and place the dynamite on the boulder. Step aside into the side passage to avoid the ensuing explosion and rockslide, which could be fatal if you remain on the path.

Face Off with Two El Gigantes in the Mine Shaft

After blasting the boulder, continue ahead to confront two El Gigantes. Collaborate with Luis, who's with you, to defeat them.

Steps to Complete the Chapter

Collaborate with Luis to Open the Door

After defeating the El Gigantes, join forces with Luis to open the door ahead. The path is clear of enemies, so take your time to collect items.

Ride the Trolley to Move Ahead

Hop on the trolley with Luis and advance. Enemies will attack you while on the trolley, so use your Handgun to aim accurately and fend them off.

Wooden Wall	Shoot and destroy the wooden wall blocking the path. Failing will result in damage
Switch	Shoot the yellow target to change the course

Enemies on the Trolley

Enemy	Attack Pattern
Villager with Crossbow	Aim and shoot from a separate trolley with a crossbow. They hit about once every few shots, so defeat them quickly
Villager on Tracks	Villagers on the tracks, shoot them once before they reach you to defeat them

Resume Your Trolley Ride and Continue Onward

As you continue your journey on the trolley, it will make a stop at a midway point. Disembark here and follow the path, where you'll encounter villagers. Defeat them and collect any useful items before getting back on the trolley.

Prepare for Chainsaw Man on the Trolley

During your second ride on the trolley, be on the lookout for Chainsaw Man. If he manages to hit you, the trolley's health will drop quickly. You can stagger him by shooting, so be mindful of your ammunition and act accordingly.

Reach the Insect Nest After the Cutscene

After traveling deep inside the minecart, a cutscene will trigger, leading you to an insect nest. As you attempt to move forward, the bridge will collapse, forcing you to navigate around the nest.

Gear Up at the Merchant After Navigating the Nest

After defeating the Novistadors and navigating around the nest, you'll find a Merchant near the elevator. Prepare for an upcoming boss fight and consider repairing your body armor if it's damaged.

Engage in Battle with Krauser After the Cutscene

Upon taking the elevator deeper into the insect nest, a cutscene will trigger, initiating your battle with Krauser. You'll be restricted to using a knife in this fight, so carefully observe Krauser's movements and counter-attack with parrying and knife strikes.

El Gigante 2 Boss Battle Guide

Defeat by Dropping into the Sanctuary Room

For an effective strategy against El Gigante 2, lure it into the Sanctuary Room at the center of the map. Dropping it into this room will defeat it in one hit and conserve your ammo.

Focus on the Unarmored El Gigante

Prioritize defeating the unarmored El Gigante over the armored one. Flash Grenades are ineffective against the armored El Gigante, making it tough to stun. Use a flash grenade to stun the unarmored one, then drop it into the Sanctuary Room.

Fight the Armored El Gigante After Removing Its Armor

After dealing with the unarmored El Gigante, an event will trigger where Luis brings dynamite. Lead El Gigante to the marked location for Luis to attach the dynamite, revealing its weak spot once detonated.

Krauser Walkthrough

Collect Scattered Short Knives

In the fight against Krauser, you'll start unarmed, so collect the Short Knives scattered throughout the area. Krauser will also throw knives, which you can pick up for your use.

Counter with Perfect Parry

Use Perfect Parry to counter Krauser's attacks effectively. Krauser is swift and offers few openings, making counterattacks after a successful parry invaluable.

Exploit Krauser's Vulnerabilities with Knife Attacks

During your fight with Krauser, take advantage of his vulnerable moments to attack with your knife. Krauser's knife attacks are much quicker than Leon's, so be cautious when attacking simultaneously. Strike once and then shift your focus to defense.
