How to Bypass Verdugo Without Defeating It

Clear by buying time and getting on the elevator

It is possible to bypass Verdugo without defeating it. In Chapter 10, the story progresses when you get on the elevator after restoring power, so if your goal is only to clear the chapter or if you have limited supplies, it is recommended to keep running away without fighting.

Using Liquid Nitrogen to Stall While Escaping

When you're running away from Verdugo, make your way to areas where liquid nitrogen is available. This can help you temporarily freeze Verdugo, buying you some time.

Dodging Verdugo's Aerial and Ground Attacks

Avoid attacks from above and below with the dodge button

Verdugo can attack by extending its tail from the floor or ceiling. However, you can avoid these by using the dodge button when you see the tail coming. Exercise caution when Verdugo disappears; that's when it's likely to unleash its tail attacks.

Using Liquid Nitrogen to Stop Verdugo's Movements

Hitting with liquid nitrogen stops its movement

When Verdugo comes into contact with liquid nitrogen on the battlefield, it becomes temporarily immobilized. Use this to your advantage to either buy time or defeat it.
