Boss Encounter in Snowdin for All Routes

Papyrus is the second boss encountered in all routes. After passing through the town of Snowdin, an event will occur and the battle will begin.

Tips for Beating Papyrus Battle

Rest at the Snowed Inn Before the Battle

When going for the N route or P route, it is recommended to rest at the Snowed Inn before the Papyrus battle to maximize your HP. The innkeeper will tell you that it costs 80G, but you don't actually need to pay if you do not have enough gold.

Purchase Bisicle if You Can

When going for the N route or P route, it is also recommended to purchase multiple Bisicles from the Snowdin Shopkeeper next to the inn. consider buying several Bisicles from the Snowdin Shopkeeper near the inn. They cost 15G each, restores 11HP, and can be eaten twice. These are useful recovery items when you have low HP.

Do not Evade the Blue Bones, They are Harmless

When you find Blue Bones in Papyrus' attacks, wait for them to pass and do not move.

Evade the White Bones by Moving Horizontally and Jumping

When the Blue Bones pass, your soul will turn Blue. Also, you can only move horizontally and jump over the obstacles. White Bones of different heights approach you, so avoid them carefully.

Papyrus in G route can be Defeated in One Hit

In the Papyrus battle on the G route, you can defeat him in one hit. Since you can defeat them in one hit, there is no need for intense battle preparation. However, you will need the determination to defeat someone has changed their ways.

How to Spare Papyrus

Spare Papyrus while Avoiding His Attacks

To spare Papyrus and end the battle without causing harm, choose the Spare option while dodging his attacks. After a few turns, Papyrus will mention that he "grants" you pity. Then, you can actually spare him.

⑯		Jump over the mountains once to the left and once to the right
⑰		Wait until the bones are at their lowest point then jump over and to the right them. This happens three times

Papyrus' Long Attack at the End

Papyrus launches a longer "REALLY COOL REGULAR ATTACK" towards the end of the battle. The last attack is long and difficult to evade, so when the turn before it features the dog doing nothing with a bone in its mouth. You will most likely get hit occassionally, so it's a good idea to use a recovery item to restore some HP.

Papyrus Dating Event Walkthrough

After missing Papyrus, talk to him in Snowdin Town to trigger the dating event. In order to proceed with the P route, you need to clear multiple events before going to Waterfall.
