Tips for Snail Racing

Snails Accelerate after Cheering

The snail doesn't speed up rapidly. It gradually accelerates after cheering, and the max speed depends on cheers. While cheering, the snail stops moving. So, cheer 8 to 10 times at the start, then wait until the finish line to secure first place.

Aim for Second Place to Avoid Losing 1G

Even if you win the snail race, you lose 1G. To earn money, aim for second place and get 30G. Rapidly press the cheer button just before the finish line to slow the snail's feet for an easy second place.

How to Win the Snail Race

Cheer About 10 Times in a Row Immediately After the Start

To win the snail race, start by cheering about 8-10 times in a row immediately after the start. Cheering is only effective when the snail's "!" is not displayed, so make sure to repeat the process of cheering, waiting until the '!' disappears, and cheering again.

Do Not Cheer until Your Snail is Near the Goal

After cheering for the snail, simply watch until it is near the goal. If done successfully, the snail should gradually increase its speed and run at a pace to finish first or second.

Frantically Cheer when the Snail is Near the Goal

When the snail approaches the goal, frantically cheer. If you are in the second position when another snail finishes first, you will receive a reward of 30G.

Places to Play Snail Racing

Snail Farm at Waterfall

You can play Snail Racing at the Snail Farm owned by Napstablook in Waterfall. The Snail Farm is located in the upper area, just after moving to the left area from Gerson's shop.

Note: Not Available in the Genocide Route

Snail Racing is unavailable in the Genocide Route. Snails and Napstablook won't appear, so to play, restart from the beginning.
