Key Points for Progressing Through the P Route

Do Not Defeat Any Monsters, Including Undyne

To progress through the P Route, you must not defeat any monsters, including Undyne. If you defeat any monsters(Undyne included) and gain 1 or more EXP and increase your LV to 1 or higher, you will be unable to access the P Route. You will access the N Route instead.

Organize Your Items

Since there are dimensional boxes scattered throughout the Waterfall area(similar to Snowdin), make sure to use them regularly to organize your items. Waterfall is a large area where you can obtain various items such as healing items and equipment.

Moving Along the Route

After entering the Waterfall area, continue straight going right. Along the way, there is an dimensional box you can use to organize your items.

Conversation Event with Sans

Talking to Sans at the reception triggers a conversation event at Grillby's in Snowdin. The conversation event does not affect the ending, but it's good to watch if you have time.

Obtaining "Old Tutu" Behind the Waterfall

Investigate the waterfall to access the area behind it and obtain the armor item "Old Tutu." Wearing it will slightly increase durability, so make sure to get it.

Placing the Seed Bridge on the Water Surface

Location of Seed Bridges	Arrangement

Take the Seed Bridges and arrange them on the water surface to create a platform. When lined up in a row, Flowers will bloom, allowing you to cross.

Arranging Seeds Vertically on the Water Surface

Take the Seeds and arrange them from bottom to top. When they are arranged in a vertical column, Flowers will bloom across. If you make a mistake, ring the Bell on top of the Seeds and try again.

Obtaining Abandoned Quiche in the Hidden Area

Let the Flowers flow into the puddle located at the bottom right and they will turn into a bridge. This will allow you to progress to the location of the hidden bench. Investigate under the bench to obtain the "Abandoned Quiche".

Examining the Wall After Looking Through the Telescope

Proceed to the right. Look through the Telescope you will find along the way to discover the words "Examine the wall upwards". Follow the hint and examine the wall ahead after proceeding up from the area with the Telescope. After advancing through the wall, step on the plank and continue to the right.

Crossing the Bridge while Avoiding Spear Attacks

As you continue to the right on the bridge, Undyne will start attacking you with spears. Avoid them and continue straight ahead. When you reach the grassy area, an event will occur and Undyne's spear attacks will stop.

Move Along the Route

From the grassy area where you escaped Undyne's spears, proceed straight to the right. Along the way, you can talk to Sans, which triggers a conversation event. This doesn't affect the story if you choose not to. After the conversation with Sans, proceed to the bridge in the lower right from where Sans is located.

Enter the Cave to Purchase Nice Cream

When you enter the cave located to the right of where Sans is, you can purchase the healing item Nice Cream for 25G. For every Nice Cream you purchase, you will receive a Punch Card. You can exchange 3 Punch Cards for one Nice Cream.

Proceed to the Upper Right Where the Water Surface Shines

Proceed towards the upper right in the area with the shining water surface. If you have completed the Friendship Event with Papyrus in Snowdin, a conversation event with Papyrus will occur during your progress.

Go Left to Obtain "Ballet Shoes"

By going left, you can obtain the weapon item "Ballet Shoes". Equipping it will slightly increase your Attack, but it doesn't have much effect for the P route.

Move Along the Route to Onionsan

After passing through the shining water surface, continue straight in the right direction. Along the way, you will have a conversation event with Onionsan.

Battle with Shyren

To clear the battle with Shyren, choose the action "Humming" to calm her down and let her escape. Shyren will attack with musical notes from her mouth, but they are not very fast, so avoid them calmly without rushing.

Proceed to the Right Following the Path

After escaping from Shyren, proceed straight to the right. Along the way, you can borrow an umbrella(it isnot necessary for the story progression). If you do borrow it, an event with the Monster Kid will occur. After returning the umbrella, let the Monster Kid help you climb the steps and continue straight.

Handing the Umbrella to Shyren Solves the Piano Puzzle

When you go up in the area where Shyren was, there is a piano that you can't play well at first. Hand the umbrella to Shyren, then wait for about 10 seconds. The correct way to play the piano will be displayed on the top of Shyren. By playing the piano, you can obtain a large amount of "Dog Residue" in the hidden area.

Proceed to the Bottom Right of the Bridge While Avoiding Spear Attacks

Continue to the right for a while on the Waterfall bridge and you will start to be attacked by spears from under it. Avoid them and proceed to the bottom right.

When you reach the dead end of the bridge, you will be pushed off it by Undyne. You will then enter the Garbage Dump area.

Battle against Mad Dummy

Continue straight in the Garbage Dump and you will enter a battle with Mad Dummy. You cannot hit and escape Mad Dummy, but try to dodge its magic attacks and counterattack. After a while, Napstablook will come to help and the battle will end.

Examine the Cooler Box to Obtain "Astronaut Food"

If you examine the cooler that is lying in the Garbage Dump, you can obtain the recovery item "Astronaut Food". This recovery item is useful in the upcoming battle against Undyne, so make sure to get it.

How to Defeat and Spare Mad Dummy

Proceed to the Silent Area to the Right

After passing through the Garbage Area, proceed to the right in the Silent Area. The shop and storage box to the right allows you to organize and purchase items, so make sure to do it to prepare for the Undyne battle. "Sea Tea" is a helpful item as it increases your movement speed during battles. It is recommended to buy multiple.

Napstablook's House and Playable Mini-Games

If you proceed upwards in the Silent Area, you can go to Napstablook's house. It's not necessary for the story, but you can listen to music. You can also play a snail race called Thundersnail for 10G.

If You Have the Mystery Key, You Can Enter the Red House

If you have the "Mystery Key"(purchased at the shop next to the MTT resort in Hotland), you can enter the Red House next to Napstablook's house. After clearing Hotland, if you have enough G, obtain the Mystery Key and visit the house.

You Can Visit Undyne's House After the Battle

You can visit Undyne's house after battling her and escaping to Hotland. In order to trigger the Friendship Event with Undyne, you need to complete the Friendship Event with Papyrus. Return to Snowdin and complete the Friendship Event if you haven't yet.

Progress While Illuminating With Mushrooms and Lanterns

After passing through the area with the shop, proceed while illuminating the path with mushrooms and lanterns. Since the lanterns go out after a while, turn their light on before it goes out to proceed without getting lost.

Go to Temmie Village by Going Down to the Bottom Right of the Mushroom Area

Proceed down to the bottom right of the area illuminated by mushrooms and you will reach the hidden area called "Temmie Village". In here, there is a shop where you can purchase limited items and sell unique items. Be sure to visit it to earn more G.

Proceed Along the Route

After proceeding through the path and illuminating mushrooms and lanterns along the way, talk to the lone Echo Flower. After the event with Undyne and the Monster Kid, proceed along the route.

The Content Varies Depending on the Choices with the Monster Kid

After the event with Undyne and the Monster Kid, another conversation event with the Monster Kid occurs after crossing the bridge. The content of the conversation varies depending on the choices, so choose your favorite.

Fighting Undyne

When you reach Undyne's arena, you will enter a battle with her. To end the battle without defeating Undyne, keep avoiding her attacks and choose "Run" when the soul turns red. Repeat this process until you reach Hotland, where the battle will end.

Giving Water from the Water Cooler to Undyne

When you successfully escape from Undyne until Hotland, you will have the option to give water from the Water Cooler to Undyne. Choose to give her the water. Afterwards, if you have cleared the Friendship Event with Papyrus, another will occur at Undyne's house.
