Meaning and Difficulty of the Neutral Route
Neutral Route

The N Route, short for Neutral Route, refers to a neutral path. It is a route where you either defeat one or more monsters or bosses or reach the ending without triggering any friendship events. Among the routes, it is the easiest to progress through.
Branching Conditions for N Route Endings
Changes Based on the Life or Death of Bosses and Monsters
The ending of the N Route will have different dialogue based on how many monsters, including the boss, you have defeated. There are various endings such as the Friendship End or the Dog End. If you want to see a specific ending, you need to achieve certain conditions regarding the life or death of specific monsters and the number of monsters defeated before reaching the ending.

No Impact on Replay or Branching Conditions for Other Routes
The ending of the N Route does not affect the branching conditions for the P Route or the G Route, regardless of which branching conditions you play with. If you want to branch into the P Route or the G Route, you need to fulfill the respective conditions from Ruins to New Home.

Conditions for Progressing Through the N Route
Defeat One or More Monsters or Bosses
The condition for progressing through the N Route is to defeat one or more monsters or bosses. However, if you completely wipe out all the appearing monsters and bosses, it will lead to the G Route.

Do Not Trigger Any Friendship Events
Even if you progress without defeating any monsters or bosses, you can reach the ending of the N Route, as long as you do not trigger the friendship events with Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys. If you want to complete the N Route, make sure not to trigger the friendship events and proceed to Sans's judgment in New Home.
