How to Obtain the Mystery Key
Purchase at the Shop next to the MTT Resort

The Mystery Key can be purchased at the Bratty and Catty's Shop next to the MTT Resort after passing through Hotland. It is available for 600G. Please note that this item can only be purchased once and cannot be obtained again if accidentally dropped or sold.
Uses of the Mystery Key
Open the Red House in Waterfall
The Mystery Key can be used in front of the red house next to Napstablook's house in the Quiet Area of Waterfall. Using it will open the door to the house. Once used, the Mystery Key will disappear, but you will have free access to the red house.

The Mystery Key is an item that does not directly affect the story. Since there is no need to visit the red house in the story, only purchase the key and go to Waterfall if you have enough gold.
