Snowdin G Route Completion Conditions

Defeat 16 Monsters and Bosses

To progress through Snowdin in the G Route, you must defeat a total of 16 encounter monsters and all the bosses in the area. If you defeat any monsters that are not necessary for the G Route progression, you will encounter them but receive the message "However, nobody came." You will also return to the exploration screen.

Recommended Encounter Locations in Snowdin

Area Before Entering Snowdin Town

To level up in Snowdin, it is recommended to defeat the monsters in the area near the suspension bridge, just before entering Snowdin Town. Defeat the monsters you encounter while moving and progress through the events with Papyrus and Sans. Try to defeat the remaining number of monsters before entering Snowdin Town.

Things to Do in Snowdin on the Genocide Route

Collecting 3 Snowman Pieces

In Snowdin Forest, there is a T-shaped area with a sign and frozen floor to the north after defeating Doggo. There is a snowman there. When you talk to it, you can recover 45 HP with the "Snowman Piece". Be sure to stop by and collect it three times.

Plundering Items from the Snowdin Shop

After defeating all the monsters in Snowdin Forest, the residents will disappear from Snowdin Town. In the empty shop, you can plunder the items for sale. Steal as many recovery items and other useful items as you can.

Doggo Battle Walkthrough Chart

Obtain the Tough Glove

When you leave the Ruins and reach the first save point "Path of the Box," there is an abandoned box. Inside, you will find the weapon "Tough Glove," which makes it easier to defeat enemies. Be sure to collect it and equip it to enhance your combat abilities.

The Tough Glove is an equipment that increases damage when you press the button at the right timing and rapidly tap the button. To efficiently defeat enemies, make sure to input the commands correctly.

Defeat Snowdrake

Enemies will start appearing from the "Path of the Box." If you fail to defeat Snowdrake, it will result in a failed Genocide Route. It is recommended to defeat Snowdrake before proceeding further to reduce any potential risks.

Additionally, in the areas beyond Snowdin, you can check the save points to see the number of weak enemies you must defeat. You must defeat Snowdrake before the count reaches 0. If you have postponed it, make sure to regularly check the count at the save points.

Defeating the Mid-Boss "Doggo"

When you proceed to the right from the "Box Path," you will encounter a battle with Doggo. Doggo's attacks with blue bones will only hit you if you move, so stay calm and deal with them. If you have the Tough Glove equipped, you can defeat Doggo with just two attacks. With the Glove on, there is no need for any special strategy.

Walkthrough Chart for the Dog Couple Battle

Collecting 3 Snowman Pieces

When you go north from the area where you defeated Doggo, you will find a snowman standing there. If you talk to the snowman in the Genocide Route, you can collect 3 Snowman Pieces, which can restore 45 HP each. Be sure to stop by and make use of them for the boss battle at the end.

Defeating Lesser Dog

In the area beyond the T-shaped road, you can encounter Lesser Dog once. You fail the Genocide Route if you don't defeat it. Some monsters only appear after encountering Lesser Dog.. Make sure to defeat it before the Dog Couple battle.

Defeating the Dog Couple Starting with Dogaressa

In the Dog Couple battle, it is recommended to defeat Dogaressa(on the right) first. If you defeat her, the remaining Dogamy will become sad and their abilities will be significantly weakened. On the other hand, if you defeat Dogamy first, Dogaressa will become furious and their attacks will become stronger.

Proceed Straight and Advance Through Papyrus' Event

After defeating the Dog Couple, continue straight and progress through the event with Sans and Papyrus. There won't be any battles, but if your HP is depleted from previous battles, make sure to restore your HP at the save point. Once you pass through the giant ice floor, you will reach the area where the Greater Dog appears.

Defeat the Greater Dog

Continue further to the right after passing through the giant ice floor to engage in a battle with the Greater Dog. You can defeat the Greater Dog by attacking it 3-4 times with the Tough Glove. As long as you restore your HP beforehand, you should be able to defeat it without much difficulty.

Check the Kill Count and Return to the Forest

Once you arrive at the town of Snowdin, check the kill count at the save point and return to the forest. If the message "That comedian..." appears, it means you haven't defeated Snowdrake. It is recommended not to decrease the kill count until you defeat Snowdrake.

Also, before returning to the forest, explore Snowdin town and talk to the residents. In the Genocide Route, you can observe the uneasy atmosphere created by the protagonist who keeps defeating monsters. The residents' sense of discomfort will also rise due to the absence of the Dog Couple and Greater Dog.

Steal Items and Money from the Shop

Once you have set the kill count to 0, return to the town of Snowdin and steal items and money from the shop. The shopkeeper and residents have evacuated, so you can replenish your stock with any items or money from the shop.

Defeat Papyrus

After fulfilling the conditions of the Genocide Route and completing your business in Snowdin town, proceed to the right and engage in a battle with Papyrus.

Papyrus can be defeated in one hit, so there is no need to prepare for the battle. However, you will need the determination to defeat someone who believes in you even after they have a change of heart.
