Conditions For the Date Event

Clear Papyrus's Date Event
To trigger the Date event with Undyne, you must first clear Papyrus's Date event. Papyrus's Date event can occur anytime in Snowdin if you have cleared his battle without fighting him.

Clear Undyne's Battle Without Defeating Her
To trigger the date event with Undyne, clear the Undyne battle without defeating her. If you defeat Undyne, the Date event will not occur. You will also not be able to progress in the P route.
Stop Being Attacked Upon Arrival in Hotland
When you continue to escape from Undyne and arrive in the area with the Water Cooler in Hotland, Undyne will stop attacking due to the heat. Once Undyne collapses from the heat, the Undyne battle is over.
Give Water from the Water Cooler
After Undyne stops attacking, fetch water from the Water Cooler and give it to Undyne. If you leave without giving her water, the Friendship event with Undyne will not occur.
Undyne Date Event Walkthrough

Talk to Papyrus in Front of the House
After pouring water on Undyne, talk to Papyrus in front of Undyne's house in Waterfall. Choose "Yes" when asked "Are you ready to hang out with Undyne?" and enter the house to start the event.
The House is Located Near Napstablook's House
Undyne's house is located in the area to the left of Napstablook's house. Go back to the save point "Quiet Area" and take the leftmost path.
Return to Snowdin If Papyrus is Not There
Undyne's Date event will not occur if you haven't cleared the event with Papyrus. If Papyrus is not there, it means the event is not cleared yet. Return to Snowdin and progress through the event with Papyrus.

Start the Conversation Event By Sitting on the Chair
After entering Undyne's house, Papyrus leaves. Sit on the chair to start the Date event. If you want to see the small details prepared in the room, take a look before sitting.
Either Choice is Fine
The choices that appear in the conversation event will not affect the progress regardless of which one you choose. Choose your favorite and enjoy the conversation.
Battle With Undyne Again
As you progress through the event with Undyne, you will once again engage in a battle with her. However, this is not a normal battle, as Undyne does not attack. Choose either "Fight" or "Pretend to Attack" from the "Act" menu to end the battle. Either choice will not cause any issues with the progress.
Date Event Ends After Battle
After finishing the battle with Undyne, the Date event comes to an end. Once the event is completed, the "Papyrus' Phone" on the CELL menu will change to "Papyrus + Undyne." This allows you to call Undyne and Papyrus at any time. Additionally, Undyne will move to the front of Papyrus's house in Snowdin.
