How to Get to the "True Laboratory"

Clear the N Route Without Killing

To enter the "True Laboratory" without resetting, you need to clear the N Route without defeating any monsters from the first playthrough. After finishing the ending of the N Route, select "Continue" and return to the Core area from the final save point before the Asgore battle.

Becomes Accessible From the Second Playthrough Onwards

If you have defeated any monsters (even once), you need to "reset" and complete the second playthrough after clearing the N Route. In order to go to the "True Laboratory", move through without defeating any monsters until the Mettaton EX battle in the Core.

Clear the Friendship Events with Papyrus

In order to go to the "True Laboratory," you need to clear the Friendship Events with Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys(in that order). After completing the Neutral Route or reaching Mettaton EX without defeating monsters in the second playthrough, go back to each location to clear the Friendship Events.

Alphys' Event Occurs When Leaving the Core

Alphys' Friendship Event occurs when you try to leave the Core and head towards Hotland after completing the Friendship Events with Papyrus and Undyne. If the starting conditions for Papyrus and Undyne (which are different) don't occur, head towards the Core.

"True Laboratory" is Exclusive to the Pacifist Route

The "True Laboratory" is a map exclusive to the Pacifist Route. Once you enter the True Laboratory, the Pacifist Route is confirmed. You will no longer be able to damage the monsters that appear in the True Laboratory.

Endogeny Battle Walkthrough Chart

Proceed Straight Until You Reach the Save Point

Once you enter the True Laboratory, proceed straight until you reach the save point. Since you won't be able to obtain recovery items ahead, it's recommended to save your progress for both saving and recovering your health.

You Can Purchase Popato Chisps in Front of the Door

Next to the door with four marks, you can purchase "Popato Chisps" for 25G. Since you won't be able to obtain recovery items after the True Laboratory, it's a good idea to buy them if you have enough G.

Investigate All the Sinks to Trigger the Memoryhead Battle

Enter the area with the sinks and investigate all the sinks on the left to trigger a battle with Memoryhead. Since this is the Pacifist Route, you won't be able to deal any damage even if you fight.

Obtain the Red Key

After the battle with Memoryhead, pick up the Red Key on top of one of the sinks. There are three sinks, but you can only obtain it on the sink where you fought Memoryhead.

Insert the Red Key in the Room Next to the Sink

Map	Details

After obtaining the Red Key, enter the room next to the sink on the right side. There is a slot to insert the Red Key at the back of the room.

When you insert the Red Key, the switch will turn on. After turning on the switch, go back to the area with the save point "True Laboratory".

Obtain the Yellow Key on the Bed

Map	Details

Proceed to the right in the area of the save point "True Laboratory" and enter the laboratory area. There are multiple beds, and if you examine the bed in the right column of the center, you can obtain the "Yellow Key".

Activate the Endogeny Battle by Turning on the Ventilation Fan Switch

Proceed upwards in the laboratory area and go right in the corridor to enter an area with multiple ventilation fans. Go all the way to the back of the ventilation fan area and turn on the switch. After turning on the switch, when you try to return to the corridor, you will enter a battle with "Endogeny" (Amalgamate).

Since this is a Pacifist route, you cannot deal damage by fighting.

Reaper Bird Battle Walkthrough Chart

Obtain the Green Key in the Bathtub Room

Map	Details

Go back to the corridor and continue to the left. Along the way, you can enter the room above. In the upper room, there is a bathtub. Examine the curtain and obtain the "Green Key".

Lemon Bread Battle at the Fake Save Point

Proceed left along the corridor and examine the save point in the area with the DT Extraction Machine to initiate a battle with "Lemon Bread". Since this is the Pacifist route, you cannot deal any damage in this battle.

Insert the Yellow Key in the Room above the Machine

Map	Details

After obtaining the Yellow Key, enter the room next to the DT Extraction Machine on the right side. In the far right corner of the room, there is a slot to insert the Yellow Key. Insert the Yellow Key to turn on the switch. After turning on the switch, return to the area with the machine.

Snowdrake's Mother Appears from the Refrigerator

Proceed to the area with the machine on the left and examine the leftmost refrigerator in the Refrigerator area to initiate a battle with "Snowdrake's Mother." Since this is the Pacifist route, you won't be able to deal any damage even if you fight.

How to Spare Snowdrake's Mother

Obtaining the Blue Key

Map	Details

After the battle with Snowdrake's Mother, try to obtain the "Blue Key" in the location where the Amalgamate was. There is a slot in the area to the right of the True Lab where you can insert the Blue Key.

Insert the Green Key in the Room Above the Refrigerator

Map	Details

After obtaining the Blue Key, enter the room located in the upper left of the Refrigerator area. In the room with a bathtub at the back, there is a slot where you can insert the Green Key. Inserting the Green Key will activate a switch. After activating the switch, return to the True Lab area.

Reaper Bird Appears to the Right in the Flower and Mirror Area

When you proceed to the right from the Haunted Area, enter the Flower and Mirror area and continue to the far right. You will encounter Reaper Bird in battle. Since this is the Pacifist route, you cannot inflict damage even if you fight.

Walkthrough Chart for Alphys' Event

Insert the Blue Key in the Room above the Flower and Mirror Area

Map	Details

After obtaining the Blue Key, enter the room located in the upper right of the Flower and Mirror Area. In the back of the room, there is a slot to insert the Blue Key obtained in the refrigerator area.

When you insert the Blue Key, the switch will turn on. After turning on the switch, return to the save point area "True Laboratory".

Turn on the Power for the Elevator

After turning on all the switches, the door in the center of the "True Laboratory" save point will open, allowing you to enter the elevator inside. However, the elevator is not powered on, so go left from the elevator to turn on the power.

Conversation Event with Alphys after Turning on the Power

After turning on the power for the elevator, Alphys will come and a conversation event will occur. After the conversation event, return to the elevator and proceed to the next map, "New Home".
