Key Points for Progressing in the N Route

Organize Your Items

Since there are dimensional boxes scattered throughout Snowdin, make sure to use them to organize your items regularly. Snowdin is a large area where you can obtain various recovery and equipment items.

You Can Choose to Defeat or Spare Monsters

If you have defeated at least one monster before reaching Ruins and have not committed to the Genocide Route at that point, you can continue on the N Route. Additionally, you can progress on the N Route while sparing monsters in Snowdin, so choose whether to spare or kill monsters based on your preference.

Walkthrough Chart for the Dog Couple Battle

Battle Against Doggo

To clear the Doggo Battle, you need to either defeat or spare Doggo. Avoid Doggo's blue attacks by not moving to avoid taking damage.

Follow Papyrus's footsteps

The first puzzle can be cleared by following the footsteps left by Papyrus. It is recommended to use the D-pad for movement as it makes it easier to move in straight lines and right angles.

Press the Switch to Proceed

The second puzzle can be cleared by pressing the switch to open the blocked path. The switch is hidden in the area's top right where there is no snow. Clearing the white snow below the area will reveal a hint.

Fighting the Dog Couple

To clear the battle against the Dog Couple, you need to defeat or spare Dogamy and Dogaressa. Similar to the Doggo battle, you won't take damage from their blue attacks as long as you're not moving. Avoid their white attacks and try to stay still to dodge their blue attacks.

Papyrus Battle Walkthrough Chart

Change ✕ to ◯ and proceed

For the third puzzle, step on the two ✕ marks to change them to ◯, then press the button above to clear it. The trick to solving the puzzle is to step on the ✕ marks and then return to the outer side.

Change All 15 ✕ to ◯ and Proceed

For the fourth puzzle, step on all 15 ✕ marks to change them to ◯, then press the button on the left to clear it. By moving as shown in the image on the top right, you can change all of them to ◯.

Clearable By Talking to Papyrus

For the fourth puzzle, you can talk to Papyrus to get hints and answers. If you talk to him twice, he will give you a hint, and if you talk to him three times, he will mention the existence of a switch on the tree. Examine the tree to the left of Papyrus. Press the switch on the tree and it will automatically change all of them to ◯, allowing you to clear it without stepping on them.

Change All 12 ✕ to ◯ and Proceed

For the fifth puzzle, step on all 12 ✕ marks to change them to ◯, then press the button on the right to clear it. Note that you can stop on the marked areas, so you can change all of them to ◯ using the route shown in the image above.

Battle Against Greater Dog

You can clear the battle against Greater Dog by either defeating it or sparing it. If you have the initial equipment "Stick," you can use it to spare Greater Dog immediately.

Fighting Papyrus

To clear the battle with Papyrus, you can either defeat him or spare him. If you choose to spare him, you must select options like "Act" or "Spare" and continue to dodge Papyrus' attacks for 19 turns.
