Monsters in Ruins
Napstablook is a monster that appears in the Ruins. If you try to force your way past Napstablook, you will have to battle regardless of the route you choose. If you are aiming for the Pacifist Route, you need to spare Napstablook. If you are aiming for the Genocide Route, it is not necessary to defeat Napstablook and we will explain why.

Appears in Waterfall after Sparing
After sparing Napstablook in the Ruins, they will appear in Waterfall. There will be no battle with Napstablook, but they will help end the battle with Mad Dummy for you. So it's best to spare Napstablook if you are not going for the Genocide Route.

How to Spare Napstablook

End the Battle by Cheering 4 Times
To spare Napstablook, keep choosing the Cheer action while avoiding Napstablook's attacks. When you Cheer for the 4th time, the battle will automatically end.
