If you are aiming for the Pacifist Route, you need to Spare Greater Dog. Alternatively, if you are aiming for the Genocide Route, you must defeat Greater Dog.

Tips for Defeating Greater Dog
Move Left and Right to Dodge
Greater Dog will attack with a "Woof" from its sleeping position. Since it attacks are aimed towards your soul, move left and right at the top of the screen to dodge its attacks.
How to Spare Greater Dog with Items
Use the Item "Stick"
Since Greater Dog is a dog-like monster, you can Spare it by using the item "Stick". It is recommended to use the Stick to quickly end the battle.
