[Introduction] What is mouse sensitivity?
Ratio between the distance the mouse moves and the cursor moves
Mouse sensitivity, an important setting in Overwatch 2, refers to the ratio between the distance the mouse moves and the distance the cursor moves. The higher the sensitivity, the narrower the range of mouse movement required for viewpoint control.
Varies depending on the DPI value
DPI (dots per inch) represents the number of cursor movements when the mouse is moved one inch. Many FPS players set their DPI between 800 and 1200, and even with the same in-game sensitivity, the mouse sensitivity can vary depending on the DPI value.
Cursor speed does not affect it
Cursor speed is a setting that can be changed within the PC system, but it does not affect the game sensitivity. It only changes the speed at which the cursor moves, so it is fine to set it to your preferred speed.
Sensitivity changes with mouse acceleration settings
Mouse acceleration refers to the setting where the distance the cursor moves changes depending on the speed at which the mouse is moved. Even if you adjust the sensitivity, the perception can change every time depending on how you move the mouse, so it is recommended to turn off the acceleration setting.

Recommended Sensitivity for Normal View
It is recommended to set the sensitivity higher
In Overwatch 2, it is recommended to set the sensitivity higher for the normal view. Since the characters move quickly, having a low sensitivity can make it tiring to move the mouse and also decrease the speed of aiming.
Adjust it in the options menu
The mouse sensitivity settings in Overwatch 2 can be adjusted in the options menu under the controls section. Move the mouse sensitivity slider left or right under the general category to find the sensitivity that suits you.
Recommended Sensitivity for Zoom View
Lower settings than the normal view are recommended
In scenes where the zoom view is used, precise aiming is often required. Since the zoom narrows the aiming range, it is recommended to slightly lower the sensitivity to ensure accurate shots.
Adjust it for each character
The sensitivity settings for the zoom view can only be adjusted for characters whose main weapon has zoom capabilities. Select the target character on the right side of the options menu and adjust the relative aim sensitivity while zooming by moving the slider left or right.
How to Find the Sensitivity That Fits You
Checking the Mouse Range When Turning Around
First, enter the practice area and check the mouse range when turning around directly behind you. Try rotating 180 degrees to the left and right, and if you find that there is not enough space to move the mouse, you will need to increase the sensitivity.
Moving while Aiming at Targets
Once you have checked the mouse range when turning around, try moving while aiming at targets. If you find that you overshoot the target when aligning your aim, it means the sensitivity is too high. On the other hand, if you can't keep up with the target, it means the sensitivity is too low.
Shooting Bots while Moving
Once you are able to move while aligning your aim, try shooting bots while moving. Aim at the bots while incorporating jumps and make slight adjustments to the sensitivity until your shots hit accurately.
