Main attack is easy to control

Sojourn's main attack is rapid-fire bullets, which can be fired in rapid succession. Since there is little blurring of the bullet when moving or jumping, it is easy for even beginners to hit the target.

Sub-attacks and abilities are difficult to use

Sojourn's secondary attack allows for high-powered shots, but it is difficult to hit moving enemies. "Disruptor Shot" is effective in places where people gather, but it is less effective in open places, making it difficult for beginners to use.

Aim for Tanks to Charge Energy

Sojourn can accumulate energy by hitting tanks with her primary fire. The hitbox is large, making it easy to target tanks with shields and charge up energy with each hit. It is recommended to focus on tanks to quickly accumulate energy.

Use Secondary Fire for Finishing Blows

Save Sojourn's secondary fire for finishing blows. Even if you have depleted your primary fire ammo, you can still follow up with the secondary fire as it is not dependent on ammo count. Even without reaching 100 energy, you can easily finish off enemies with low HP.

Maximize Firepower with Mobility

When using Sojourn, use Power Slide to move on high ground and increase your line of sight to enemies. With high mobility in all directions, including vertical movement, you can attack enemies from various locations, impede their progress, deal damage, and create an environment where your teammates can maneuver easily.

Countermeasures

Tracer is the counter to Sojourn

The weakness of Sojourn is the need for advanced aim control in attacks. Therefore, if you can outmaneuver Sojourn with the highly mobile Tracer, it will be easier to defeat her in a damage race.

Defeat Sojourn with high burst damage characters

Sojourn is a versatile character with both firepower and mobility, but she struggles to output instant burst damage outside of her Charge attack. Therefore, try to quickly eliminate her with high burst damage characters like D.Va, who can close in rapidly, or Junkrat, who can stick close and land main shots.

An all-around character capable of handling from short to long range

Sojourn is an all-around character who excels in close to medium-range main shooting and can easily take down enemies at long range with her sub-shots. Regardless of the team composition, she can output high damage, so if you're unsure which damage character to choose, go with Sojourn.

Ability, Details, and Use

Power Slide

Get the high ground while using Power Slide and Jump

Combine the Power Slide with Jump to get to the high ground. By jumping during a Power Slide you can leap higher and take positions on high ground to shoot enemies.

Consider the distance you can retreat to your allies

When using Sojourn, be conscious of the distance you can retreat to your allies with Power Slide. Sojourn allows you to quickly move and take positions on high ground, but if you chase after enemies too far and cannot return with Power Slide, you are more likely to get defeated. Always keep in mind the distance you can retreat to your allies.

Learn how to perform a big jump

With Power Slide, after performing a jump, if you quickly input Power Slide again and then jump, you can jump higher than usual. This allows you to reach higher platforms, but the timing of the jump input after Power Slide is critical, so practice to be able to do it anytime.

Disruptor Shot

Place Behind Enemy Lines

Place the Disruptor Shot behind the enemy. Its projectile speed is slow, and the effect is flashy, so if you place it in front, it can be easily avoided. Place it behind enemies engaging from high ground or other advantageous positions to take them down while their movement speed is decreased.

Block Narrow Pathways

Use the Disruptor Shot to block the entrances and exits of narrow pathways where enemies appear. Since it has a wide spherical range, you can completely block small entrances, effectively hindering enemy progress and retreat.

Synergize with Zarya's Ultimate

The Disruptor Shot has good synergy with Zarya's Ultimate. It creates a field that deals continuous damage at the point of impact, so if Zarya gathers enemies in one place with her Ultimate, you can efficiently damage multiple enemies.

【ULT】Overclocking

Do not forcefully aim for headshots

During Overclock activation, do not forcefully aim for headshots. While it automatically charges energy, there are no assists such as auto-aim, so if you cannot hit the target, no damage will be dealt. Since it deals 130 damage at 100%, it is recommended to aim for the body instead of forcing headshots to deal damage.

Combine with immobilizing ultimate abilities

Combine Overclock with immobilizing ultimate abilities. By combining it with an ultimate ability that immobilizes enemy movement, it can cover the most difficult aspect of hitting the target. This is highly recommended.
