Rules for Hybrid Mode

Attackers aim to secure objectives and push the payload to victory

The attacking team's objective is to secure the initial objective and then push the payload to its destination for victory. After the game starts, quickly secure the objective, and once the payload appears, fight near the car and push it towards the destination.

Defenders aim to prevent objectives and payload progress until time runs out

The defending team's objective is to prevent the attackers from capturing the objective and progressing the payload until time runs out. Even if the initial objective is captured, victory can still be achieved by preventing the payload from reaching its destination. Defeat the enemies near the payload to stop its progress.

Overtime occurs if the match is still contested when time runs out

If, at the end of the time limit, at least one attacker is still alive at the objective or a contest for the payload is ongoing, overtime will occur. Both teams should continue fighting until there's a clear winner.

Game Flow

Flow until the outcome is determined
1 Select a character and start the game
2 Divide into the attacking side and the defending side and compete for Objective A┗If the defending side cannot secure it within the time limit, the defending side wins
3 After the attacking side secures Objective A, the payload appears
4 The attacking side wins by escorting the payload to the destination
5 The defending side wins by preventing the payload from reaching the goal

Character Selection

After selecting the mode, choose a character to start the game. In Quick Play or Competitive Play, you can check the game mode such as Hybrid by looking at the top left of the character selection screen.

Compete for Objective A within 5 minutes

Securing Objective A

First, compete for Objective A within 5 minutes. The attacking side fights to secure it, while the defending side fights to prevent it from being secured. If the attacking side fails to secure Objective A within 5 minutes, the defending side will progress.

When the attacking side secures target A, the payload (car) advances.

Payload Progress

When the attacking side secures target A, the payload (car) located at target A will start to advance. The attacking side must transport the payload to the checkpoints and the destination, while the defending side must prevent the payload from advancing.

The time limit is updated.

When the attacking side secures target A, the time limit, which was originally 5 minutes, is updated to 6 minutes or more. Additionally, when the payload advances to a checkpoint, the time limit is updated again.

Victory or defeat is determined by the progress of the payload.

Payload Progress

After securing target A, victory or defeat is determined by the progress of the payload, similar to escort missions. The attacking side wins if they can transport the payload to the checkpoints and the destination within the time limit. On the other hand, the defending side wins if they can prevent the payload from advancing to the checkpoints and the destination within the time limit.

Strategies for Winning

Tips for Winning Strategies

Winning Strategies
General: Create a numerical advantage
General: Stick to the payload
Attackers: Secure Objective A quickly
Defenders: Prevent the payload from advancing

To achieve victory in Hybrid mode, regardless of whether you are on the attacking or defending side, it is disadvantageous to act alone. Always be aware of having a numerical advantage while fighting. Additionally, after securing Objective A for the attackers, the key to victory for both sides is how well they stick to the payload.

Attackers: Secure Objective A quickly

To win as an attacker in Hybrid mode, it is crucial to quickly secure Objective A. If the attackers fail to capture Objective A within the time limit, they will lose. Focus your attacks on the enemy tanks guarding Objective A and aim to quickly secure the area.

Defenders: Prevent the payload from advancing

To win as a defender in Hybrid mode, focus on preventing the payload from advancing. If the defenders can successfully defend Objective A within the time limit, the match will end quickly. However, defenders are at a disadvantage as Objective A is far from the respawn point due to map design. Even if Objective A is breached, do not give up and stick to the payload to hinder its progress.

Strategies for Tanks

Tank Strategies
Minimize deaths
Engage in battles near Objective A and the payload

When playing as a tank in Hybrid mode, focus on minimizing deaths. Especially in Overwatch 2, where there is only one tank character, if you die, it can easily lead to the team falling apart. It is recommended to fight alongside the support heroes near Objective A and the payload.

Strategies for Damage Heroes

Damage Hero Strategies
Capture high ground around target A
Chip away at the enemy's support and damage characters
Focus fire on the enemy tank
Support the tank defending the payload

When playing as a damage hero, try to attack from positions such as high ground where it's easier to eliminate enemies and reduce the number of opponents. In particular, focusing on the enemy's support and low-health characters will make the fight easier.

Also, it's difficult to win in a one-on-one situation against the enemy tank. Even though it's just one tank, it's recommended to attack with multiple teammates.

Strategies for Supports

Support Strategies
Stay close to someone and avoid going alone
Support the tank defending the payload

When playing as a support, be conscious of not going alone. Since there is only one tank, it's recommended to support around the tank.
