Sombra has undergone adjustments that facilitate the execution of flanking tactics. The boost in primary firepower makes it easier to apply pressure on enemies, and the extended duration of hacked health packs reduces the necessity for multiple hacks, thereby increasing the success rate of flanking opportunities.

Potent Invisibility with Stealth

Establish a Numerical Advantage through Enemy Elimination

Sombra excels at infiltrating enemy lines to eliminate opponents and establish a numerical advantage. Utilize her hacking abilities to apply a 40% damage increase, prioritizing support or isolated damage dealers in the backline for elimination.

Coordinate Offenses with Team Initiations

Effective Sombra play involves coordinating offensives with your team. Attacking in isolation when the enemy is grouped up may lead to their receiving support, making eliminations challenging. Instead, synchronize your attacks with your teammates' initiations for higher chances of successful eliminations without detection.

Gather Enemy Intel in Stealth Mode

While in Stealth mode, use the translocator to gather crucial information about the enemy composition. At the onset of the match, your team may lack knowledge about the enemy's lineup. As Sombra, safely scout enemy positions and communicate this information to your team, facilitating strategic attacks and enhancing overall team coordination.

Countermeasures

Brigitte as a Counter to Sombra

Sombra's main attack suffers from low damage output. When confronted by Brigitte, even if hacked, Brigitte can easily recover thanks to her passive ability, making it challenging for Sombra to secure a takedown. Brigitte's supportive capabilities, including her barrier and knockback attack, provide assistance to allies in need.

Capture Sombra with Immobilizing Characters.

To thwart Sombra's attempts to attack from behind, enlist characters capable of immobilizing her. Ana's Sleep Dart can put her to sleep, or Roadhog's Hook can apprehend her before she escapes, offering effective strategies to neutralize Sombra.

Exploit Hacked Enemies with Mobile Characters

Sombra's Hack ability is a potent tool that disables the target's abilities for 10 seconds while also boosting Sombra's damage by 40%. To capitalize on this, coordinate with agile characters like Genji and Tracer, leveraging their mobility through abilities like Stealth and Translocator. By converging on hacked enemies, your team can swiftly eliminate them, taking advantage of the enhanced damage output and effectively neutralizing threats.

Translocator

Place it in a safe location

Place your Translocator in a safe location where enemies cannot approach. Since it is an ability similar to Sombra's lifeline that allows her to attack enemies alone, be careful not to let it be destroyed by enemies.

Place it near health packs

Place your Translocator near health packs. Sombra is vulnerable to enemy attacks, and even if she can retreat, she cannot launch attacks without recovering her HP. To speed up the time of attack even by a little, it is recommended to place the Translocator near health packs.

Retreat with room to spare

When using the Translocator, make sure to retreat with enough HP. Although you might be tempted to push the limits and attack until the very last moment because you can retreat safely, being defeated puts your team at a disadvantage. So, try to retreat with room to spare.

Stealth

Take the enemy by surprise with high mobility

Use Stealth to take the enemy by surprise with high mobility. While in Stealth, your movement speed is increased by 50%, so quickly take the enemy's back without being noticed and skillfully dismantle them from behind.

Getting too close to the enemy will alert them

When in Stealth mode, getting too close to the enemy will alert them. When you come within about 4m of the enemy, Sombra's figure becomes translucent and visible to the enemy, and if you take damage, Stealth will be deactivated. To avoid missing the opportunity to attack, maintain a distance where you won't be noticed.

Act separately from your teammates

While in Stealth mode, it is recommended to act separately from your teammates. Even if Sombra is not visible, attacking towards your teammates will deactivate Stealth. To avoid taking damage, solo plays are recommended.

Hack

Hack and Eliminate Support

Prioritize using hacks on enemy supports and aim to eliminate them first. By taking down the supports, you can gain an advantage and reduce the enemy's healing output, creating a highly advantageous situation for your allies.

Hack Health Packs

When you come across health packs placed on the map, be sure to hack them. Health packs that have been hacked by Sombra become unusable for the enemy, indirectly contributing to kills by reducing their healing options. Prioritizing hacking health packs near the engagement points is particularly effective.

【ULT】EMP

Activate in the Center of the Enemy Base

Trigger EMP at the heart of the enemy base. With its circular effect centered around Sombra, use Stealth or Translocator to position yourself in the middle of the enemy base. This ensures that enemies within the radius are put into a hacked state.

Effective Against Barrier Destruction

When activating EMP against enemies with a barrier, it can swiftly reduce their health to zero. Even if the restricted abilities from hacking are later released, securing kills becomes easier since their health doesn't recover. Involving barriers when using EMP enhances its overall effectiveness.
