Creating a Battle.net Account

To play Overwatch 2, you will need a Battle.net account regardless of the platform you are using, whether it's PC, PS, Switch, or others. You can create a Battle.net account from the official websites of Overwatch, Blizzard, and Battle.net. So, make sure to create one before starting Overwatch 2.

Account Creation is Required Even if You Already Have a Console Account

Even if you have been playing the original Overwatch and already have a console account, you will still need a Battle.net account to play Overwatch 2 due to crossplay. Create a Battle.net account and then integrate your existing console account.

When registering for a Battle.net account, first enter your country, name, and login email address. You need to enter your name twice, but the first time, it should be your real name as it is considered personal information used for customer support and other purposes, as recommended.

Confirm the Terms and Select "Continue"

After entering your login address, confirm the terms and select "Continue." Two checkboxes will appear, but you cannot proceed unless you check the checkbox at the bottom. Make sure to carefully review the terms before checking the box and proceeding.

Answer the quiz to confirm that you are not a bot

After reviewing the terms and setting a password and BattleTag corresponding to your username, let's answer the quiz to confirm that you are not a bot. There will be a total of 2 questions, but they are simple quizzes, so if you answer calmly, there should be no problem.

BattleTag can be changed for free only once

The BattleTag you set at the time of registration can be changed for free only once. For the second time and onwards, you will need to purchase the BattleTag change option for 1,130 yen.

How to Log in to your Battle.net Account

Perform Email Address Verification

After registering your account, it is recommended to perform email address verification first. Email address verification can be done by tapping or clicking the corresponding button in the received email.

Log in from the Login Page

After completing the email address verification, log in to Battle.net from the login page of your browser. You can log in even without email address verification, but you will be prompted to verify your email address. It is recommended to perform the verification beforehand.
