How to Set Up Emotes
Selecting Emotes in the Hero Gallery
Emotes that can be used in matches can be selected in the Hero Gallery. Choose the Emote you want to use in matches from your collection of acquired Emotes.
Emotes acquired in the original game can be transferred
Emotes obtained in the original Overwatch can be transferred to Overwatch 2. However, there may be cases where they are not transferred due to errors immediately after the release. In such cases, you may need to manually set them up one by one or wait for fixes to be implemented.

Assigning Emotes through Communication Options
To directly set up Emotes, you can assign them to keys or buttons through the "Communication" option in the control settings. However, even if you don't set them up directly, you can still use Emotes by assigning the Communication feature.

How to Use Emotes
Using Emotes for Communication
To use Emotes, press the button or key assigned to communication during a match and select the desired Emote. If you frequently use Emotes, it is recommended to assign buttons or keys directly to Emotes.
How to Obtain Emotes
Purchase with Overwatch Coins
You can purchase Emotes for each hero with Overwatch Coins. Select the Emote for the hero from the Hero Gallery and purchase the Emote with a coin symbol. Overwatch Coins can be obtained by purchasing with real money or as weekly challenge rewards.

Receive as Battle Pass Rewards
Some Emotes can be obtained as Battle Pass rewards. To receive all Battle Pass rewards, you need the Premium Battle Pass, so if you want Emotes, consider purchasing the Premium Battle Pass.

Purchased in the Limited-Time Shop
Some Emotes can be purchased in the shop for a limited time. The store is updated at regular intervals, so if you're aiming to complete your Emote collection, be sure to check it frequently.
